In a strange new world Spock has sex!
April 2nd, 2025 under Star Trek. [ Comments: none ]

Last summer, I finally watched the original Star Trek, much to the excitement of my Trekkie friends, who were tired of my Star Wars jokes. I need to rewatch it so I can stop making relevant Star Trek jokes.

Anyway, one of the things that interested me most about Star Trek was Captain Pike. Why had I not heard about him before I watched the pilot? I wanted to know his backstory.

Then my friend told me that Paramount+ was telling his and the Enterprise’s story in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and it is the best spinoff to come from the Mothership. After watching the first two seasons, I agreed with them.

What other show can say they did a crossover event with the animated show Star Trek: Lower Decks, and it was mind-blowingly amazing!

Ever since I finished watching the first two seasons, I have been anxiously waiting for the third season. Today, Paramount+ released a teaser, and this summer cannot come soon enough.

In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our characters’ grit and resolve. An exciting twist on classic Star Trek, season three takes characters both new and beloved, to new heights and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.

The first two seasons of SNW, along with all the other Star Trek shows and movies, are streaming on Paramount+.

Before Isla Fisher starred in The Beach Bum, she was just a beach girl in Paradise Beach. The 17-year-old gave a phenomenal performance in that 1993 episode, even though it was one of the rare scenes she wasn’t wearing a bikini.

Day Drinking almost killed Paul Rudd and Seth Meyers
April 2nd, 2025 under Paul Rudd, Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

Paul Rudd never ages. Will Day Drinking with Seth Meyers be the thing that finally gets the hands of time spinning for him?

Nope. In fact, it de-aged him after they were forced to take a three-day break due to the Romeo & Juliet concoction that sent both men to the hospital.

That’s right. The Late Night host made a drink that was so deadly, it had Rudd puking in his unicorn-horn cowboy hat and belching up a storm.

And yet that was not enough for him to end the segment like it did Dua Lipa.

Rudd continued on and it was as grrreeeaaatttt as Tony the Tiger’s circumcised penis! That will make sense after you spend the next 19 minutes watching the best, funniest, and deadliest Seth Meyer Goes Day Drinking segment.

Thankfully, no one died in the making of this Day Drinking. However, it did have me laughing so hard I was dying, especially after the fourth consecutive time I watched it, because you never catch all the funny things they said and did in the first ten rewatchings.

Deborah Norville is saying goodbye to Inside Edition
April 2nd, 2025 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

Deborah Norville has been hosting Inside Edition for 30 years, and today she made a huge announcement about her future with the news magazine.

“It has been such an honor and privilege to be here at INSIDE EDITION for all these years. A milestone like this is a time for reflection, and on reflection, I have decided that now is the time to move on from INSIDE EDITION,” she told the camera. “They made me a lovely offer to stay, but there are things I’d like to do and places I want to do them that continuing here doesn’t permit. So, at the end of the season, I’ll be moving on. I’ve got some exciting things in the works, which I’ll talk about later, but what I want to say now is what a privilege it’s been to lead INSIDE EDITION for all these years. To work with the incredibly talented team here, and to be invited into your homes every day, it’s an honor I don’t take lightly.”

What a run she has had. Not many other hosts can say that they have fronted anything as long as that. None of the late or daytime hosts can claim that.

Fox renews the core four animated shows for four more years!
April 2nd, 2025 under Seth MacFarlane, The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

Today was a very good day to be a long-running Fox animated show. That is because the network picked up The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy for four more years. Those three will be joined by American Dad, which is coming home after moving to TBS in 2014.

“This historic four-season order from our longtime partners at FOX is truly monumental for these iconic animated series. We are so proud that these legendary shows will continue for hundreds of more episodes, allowing new and longstanding fans to watch, rewatch and experience more of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob’s Burgers for years to come,” said Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation.

The four-year renewal means that The Simpsons will make it to its 40th season. It is the show that will never die. And that is a good thing.

Seth MacFarlane was just 16 years old when The Simpsons debuted. Now, the 51-year-old has two uncancelled shows airing alongside the GOAT! Pretty impressive!
