Merrily We Roll Along is getting the Hamilton treatment
June 18th, 2024 under Broadway, Harry Potter, Jonathan Groff. [ Comments: none ]

Merrily We Roll Along had a great night at the Tonys on Sunday. The revival, Jonathan Groff and Daniel Radcliffe, all went home winners.

It is the most buzzed Broadway Musical in a long time, and there are only three more weeks to see it. At least on the Great White Way.

That is because Deadline is reporting that the Stephen Sondheim production is being filmed by the same people who shot Hamilton for Disney+.

It is unknown where and when it will debut on the small screen, but I hope it happens soon. My friends saw it and loved it, and I can’t wait to do the same! Because it is all about me and my needs.

Spaceballs 2 might finally happen, but that is not a good thing
June 18th, 2024 under Josh Gad, Mel Brooks. [ Comments: 1 ]

Josh Gad must be stopped. He seems to be obsessed with the amazing Rick Moranis, and because of that, he thinks he can resurrect the actor’s works.

For example, he tried to do a sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Thankfully, Disney+ shortened it to nothing.

Now, Variety is reporting that he is producing a sequel to Spaceballs and will star in it.

Mel Brooks is also said to be a producer. I want to know what that means because anyone who saw History of the World: Part 2 is scared because that was pure shit. And it was said that he was part of that too.

So when it comes to Spaceballs 2, I hope it goes more like Honey than History.

Leave Mel Brooks’ works alone unless he is truly part of it because there is no comedic writer today who is as brilliant as Brooks on their best day.

Let’s be honest. As soon as you heard that Justin Timberlake was arrested, you were like I can’t wait to see the mugshot. Well, it is here. And it is glorious!

What’s your favorite part about it?

Along with the mugshot, the Sag Harbor Police Department also shared the press release:

On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 AM, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment. Mr. Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9:30 AM where he was released on his own recognizance.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The singer has yet to release a statement.

June 18th, 2024 under William Shatner. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever been reading social media or a story and seen a link to an article about a celebrity that you know is absolutely false, yet you click on it to see what it says? I’ve done it several times.

Do you ever wonder how those celebrities react to the one about them? Well, William Shatner has some advice for the people who believe them. He wrote, “Those that are worried I have no real friends & I fear I will die alone need to stop reading clickbait articles. Go outside for some fresh air & sunshine. You need it. ”

And that is why The Shat is the Shit!

Resident Alien is changing planets
June 18th, 2024 under Alan Tudyk. [ Comments: none ]

There were rumors that it did not look like Resident Alien would be back for a fourth season on Syfy, and today that rumor was confirmed.

The Syfy series about an alien (Alan Tudyk) who wants to destroy the Earth and everyone on it was renewed for another season. However, it is changing channels and moving to the USA Network.

The show has a loyal fanbase, and hopefully, they will follow it to its new home. I know; I will go wherever it goes!
