This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are…
February 1st, 2023 under Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson. [ Comments: none ]

It seems like it was just yesterday we found out who was going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but it turns out it was a year ago. And what a year it was. Duran Duran was finally inducted, and Dolly Parton and Dionne Warwick tried to bow out of their nominations.

Hopefully, this year will go easier for the Cleveland museum. So who did they nominate? They are Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper. George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon.

I have my favorites, like the girl who just wants to have fun, the man who gives me the faith, the faith, the faith, and the band I get down on my knees for. However, there are several worthy candidates like Willie Nelson, Missy Elliott, and Iron Maiden.

Now you know who has my vote, who has yours? You have until April 28th to vote here.

The 8 future Hall of Famers will be announced in May. Good luck to them all.

Blacklist is ending, Pictionary and Family Feud are not

NBC announced today that this season of Blacklist, which debuts on February 26th, will be its last.

“It isn’t often that a series resonates so deeply with an audience that it airs for 10 seasons, but ‘The Blacklist’ proved to a perfect combination of highly talented producers, stellar writing, a cast that never failed to deliver and a crew that always rose to the occasion,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “A huge thank you to our partners at Sony, everyone from the past decade who made this show an integral part of NBC’s storied history and, of course, a special nod to James Spader, whose performance remains nothing short of spectacular.”

Personally, the series lasted 9 more seasons than I thought it would. So congrats to all involved.

The news isn’t all bad in the TV world. Pictionary, the game show hosted by Jerry O’Connell was picked up for a second season.

While that series is just a baby, Family Feud was picked up for its 50th, which means Steve Harvey and his mustache will be doing the show until at least 2026.

Can you tell which is the real Lizzo and which is the wax figure?
February 1st, 2023 under Lizzo, Madame Tussauds. [ Comments: none ]

Lizzo is the latest celebrity to get a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, and they did a good as hell job.

I almost can’t tell the difference. However, because she has such a huge personality, a one-dimensional likeness can’t do her justice. But they came pretty gosh darn close. Don’t you agree?

Ozzy Osbourne retires from touring
February 1st, 2023 under The Osbournes. [ Comments: none ]

Ozzy Osbourne has been ailing for years, and now the injuries and Parkinson’s have taken too much of a toll on his body. Therefore, he has had to make one of the toughest decisions of his life.

This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.

My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.

I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really FUCKS ME UP, more than you will ever know.

Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.

I want to thank my family……my band…….my crew……my longtime friends, @JudasPriest, and of course, my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have.

I love you all…

I guess eating a bat’s head is not the cure for everything.

When it comes to finding a way for him to tour again, I am sure his wife, Sharon Osbourne, will find one. She always does.

Tom Brady is retiring again
February 1st, 2023 under Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Last year, Tom Brady announced that he was retiring from the NFL, but then he took it back a few weeks later.

Today, just two days before the release of 80 for Brady and 11 days before the Super Bowl, the 45-year-old quarterback says he is retiring for good this time.

What did it cost him not to retire the first time? Let’s see another go at the Super Bowl. And more importantly, his marriage to Gisele Bundchen.

Seriously, what a dick move not to wait until after the release of the movie and the Super Bowl to make the announcement. He has to make everything about him.
