Before Jennifer Garner’s husband was turned into a cat in Nine Lives, she was a dolphin who turned into a human on Fantasy Island. She looks the same now as she did when she was 26 in that 1998 episode.
Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are the top two shows in syndication, and their contracts are up at the end of the season. Therefore, it makes sense that CBS Media Ventures wants to keep them around for a while. So they picked up both game shows for five more seasons.
While the series will be around until 2028, the press release does not mention if the talent will be. Pat Sajak, 76, has hinted he has wants to retire, but will he? And I can’t see Vanna White going anywhere because what woman doesn’t want to be a human Barbie doll and wear all of those beautiful gowns? When it comes to Jeopardy, I have no idea what they will newbies Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik. They have only been hosting for two years, as compared to Sajak and White, who have been doing the job for 40 years and counting.
While The CW’s new owner Nexstar has cancelled a lot of their shows, including Whose Line Is It Anyway, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, and Stargirl, they actually picked up one today for another season today.
That show is All American, and it will be back for a sixth season. At this point, we don’t know if it will be the only show returning, but I am hoping not.
Hopefully, Nexstar will realize that The Winchesters is their next star before it is too late!
Yesterday was a big night for Abbott Elementary at the Golden Globes because the show brought home three awards. And three seems to be its lucky number because the sitcom was picked up for a third season today.
The news is not a surprise because it is ABC’s #1 series and its viewership is up 31% from its debut season.
Congrats to new Golden Globe winners Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Emmy winner Sheryl Lee Ralph on their winning everything, including our hearts!
Tune in for a new episode tonight at 9p. I wonder how much longer it will be in the timeslot? I have a feeling it will have first period, I mean the first timeslot, next season.
I had interviewed Austin Butler a few times long before he played the King. However, I don’t remember him sounding like Elvis Presley. But yesterday, during his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, if you closed your eyes, all you heard was the singer.
We were not alone; the press heard it too. Therefore, a reporter asked him if he thinks he still sounds like Elvis. “I don’t even think about it. I don’t think I sound like him still. But, I guess I must because I hear it a lot,” the actor said. “I often liken it to when someone lives in another country for a long time. I have three years where that was my only focus in life. So I am sure there are just pieces of my DNA that will always be linked in that way.”
When Butler became Elvis, he really became him. Hopefully, after the Oscars, he will become Austin Butler again. Because there was nothing wrong with him, I always knew he would be a star.
