Seriously? OMG! WTF?

Abbott Elementary returns to ABC a week from today, and we are getting a glimpse of what to expect from the first few episodes of season 6, including guest star Katy Mixon taking on Lisa Ann Walter. I have a feeling we will be wishing they get a sister comedy next season.

On that note. Tell me I am not the only one who thinks it is time for the school sitcom to graduate? It has had a great run, but it is time for their next move. What do you think?

Abbott Elementary is going into its sixth season on October 7th, and they are taking things back to the olden days. As in, they did a commercial in the form of Schoolhouse Rock.

Now that we have seen them in animated form. I want a full episode, like the Saturday-morning cartoon. Would you watch it if they did that?

Abbott Elementary has some news to share, and they asked Barbara Howard to do it. Therefore, they gave us her phone number so that she could instruct us that the sitcom will be back for a 6th season.

The news is not a surprise because it is still a critical darling and an award-show darling.

The show is about the teachers at a Philadelphia elementary school. It stars Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.

This is the first series to be picked up for next season, and all of the other scripted fall shows are expected to be on the 2026-2027 season.

ABC loves learning the ABCs from Abbott Elementary so much that they picked it up for a fifth season today.

The sitcom is the network’s most buzzed show, after 9-1-1, and one of the few that get Emmy nominations, so it makes sense.

Plus, it is getting help in the ratings from the premiere of Tim Allen’s Shifting Gears and the crossover event episode with the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

UPDATE: ABC was in a good mood today because they also picked up High Potential for a second season. The police procedural, which stars Kaitlin Olson, has been doing great since its premiere. Therefore, this decision makes a lot of sense.
