Before Jeff Goldblum had his own television show, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, he wasn’t even credited in his television debut on Columbo. You can’t miss the 22-year-old in that 1975 episode?
There are a lot of Chrises in Hollywood. There is Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and Chris Rock. Not only do they share the same name, but they have so much in common.
Therefore, it would make sense that not all of them go by their first name. Chris Pratt is one of the ones who doesn’t go by Chris. He told Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw that people call him Pratt or CP. In fact, when his Pastor called him by his given name, he told him not to do that because it felt so weird because no one calls him that.
Next time I interview him, I am going to call him Chris because he said not to do it. The same way that I called Mark Wahlberg Marky Mark. I don’t do well with people telling me not to do something.
The most powerful scene this season on Stranger Things is when Max (Sadie Sink) is saved from Vecna’s Mind Lair by the song Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush.
Today when the actress was on Today, Justin Sylvester (finally) asked her what song would she use to get herself out of Vecna’s clutch. Sink first said August by Taylor Swift (?) and then followed it up with Daft Punk’s Instant Crush.
It took me a week to discover which song would be mine. So I came up with three: It’s Take Two by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, and Meat Loaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light. However, the first few bars of Corey Hart’s Sunglasses at Night could distract me too.
Evil started out on CBS, but the pandemic caused them to move the series to Paramount+ for its second season. The supernatural drama, which is streaming its 3rd season now, is doing so well, that it will be back for a 4th one.
“EVIL continues to expand its fanbase of both critics and viewers alike; season three currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and it is a consistent top five most-watched original series and acquisition driver for the service,” said Nicole Clemens, president, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. “We couldn’t be more excited to be terrified by what Robert and Michelle create for season four with our outstanding cast bringing it to life.”
If you haven’t seen Evil, then you should subscribe to Paramount+ to watch it. It is dark, evil, twisted, and totally fun. Robert and Michelle find ways to make you think and to question things about religious symbolism. There is a fine line between the horrors we are taught in the Bible and reality. So it is interesting to see if David (Mike Colter), Kristen (Katja Herbers), and Ben (Aasif Mandvi) can distinguish what is demonic, divine, or man-influenced each week. That and Michael Emerson is so good at being pure Evil.
