Patti LuPone has been able to avoid COVID-19 for all of this time. However, it finally got close, Glenn Close, enough to her.
The Broadway legend announced it yesterday, “Hi Dolls. I showed up for Saturday’s matinee, tested positive for Covid with 3 tests. Unfortunately, I’ll be out of the show for 10 days. I’m so sorry.”
Hopefully, she will be OK soon and back on stage with The Company at the end of her quarantine. But then again, I actually pity coronavirus because I think they met their match.

People’s awkward red carpet interview with Jessica Chastain at the SAG Awards |
February 28th, 2022 under Jessica Chastain. [ Comments: none ]

Jessica Chastain knew that her assignment was to walk the red carpet at the SAG Awards yesterday and answer the press’ questions.
Her publicist told her to stop and do one with People/Entertainment Weekly. That turned out to be a mistake on their part.
It started off OK. That is until Janine Rubenstein asked her about Power of the Dog. Chastain wasn’t in that; she was in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Lucky for Rubenstein, her co-reporter Jeremy Parsons jumped in and was able to get things back on track with a nice story about Tammy Faye Bakker.
However, he also made the chat awkward when he asked her about her Scenes for a Marriage co-star Oscar Isaac sniffing her arm on the Venice Film Festival red carpet. She joked about it and said that they are just friends because everyone was wondering if they were something more.
And on that note, the interview was over. They thanked each other for a good interview. However, the reporters were thinking how bad it went. While she was thinking, can’t I just go inside and sit down? She didn’t know what hurt more, her feet in those heels or answering all of those stupid questions.
As bad as the red carpet might’ve been for Chastain, the rest of her night went amazingly. That is because she rightfully won the Best Actress award. I hope she gets the Oscar because she did the best job at the nominees.

Family Guy went there with Quentin Tarantino |
February 28th, 2022 under Quentin Tarantino, Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

Family Guy aired its best episode of the season yesterday. The type of episode that makes you cringe and laugh at the same time.
The episode deals with Lois going to her snooty high school reunion. She is too embarrassed to take Peter, so she asks Quagmire to go with her and pretend to be her husband. He says to her about the offer, “I am not used to wearing rings above the waist.” And that was just the beginning of is it OK to laugh at that.
When they get to the hotel, Quagmire changed out their suite to the honeymoon suite. Lois is so mad she says that she is going to angry tweet a celeb that looks like him. So she tweets to Quentin Tarantino, “You big headed creep, where do you get off?!” The director responded to her with “On feet.” Then followed it up with, “Toe pics?”
If that is not bad enough, Peter orders pizza, and the delivery man does an Elvis Presley on their toilet. Since they don’t want to get in trouble with Lois for ordering the pizza, they do a Weekend at Bernie’s with Meg sharing his clothes and controlling him from behind. It gets worse. During a police lineup, Joe asks the pizza guy to recreate the Michael Jackson Thriller Zombie dance.
And still, there is more. And shockingly, it had a heartwarming ending.
This is why I still watch Family Guy. To paraphrase Mae West, when it is bad, it is very good! At least Seth MacFarlane will get that reference.

Katy Perry ugly cried on American Idol |

American Idol was back on ABC yesterday, and the tears were already flowing.
Tyler Allen came in and shared the story of how he lost his nephew, who had just turned one, a year ago in a car accident. He used to sing Whitney Houston’s I Believe In You And Me to him, so he chose to do it for his audition.
As soon as he hit his first note, Perry started to cry. And she didn’t stop until she told him he was going to Hollywood.
She is not the only one who did their Tammy Faye Bakker impression. To see the singer do her’s, then click here!

Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow recreate their Romy and Michelle dance |

The SAG Awards staged a reunion for the leads of Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion. Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino presented an award at the show, much to the delight of their fans.
However, the most delightful moment for the Post-It Girls came backstage, when they recreated their dance (sadly without Alan Cummings). If this doesn’t make you smile, then nothing will.
BTW Can you believe it has been 25 years since they had their 10-year reunion?
If you want to rewatch the Time After Time dance from the cult favorite, then click here!
