William Shatner will not be dressed as Captain Kirk when he goes to Space
October 10th, 2021 under William Shatner. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin announced that William Shatner will boldly go where no 90-year-old man has gone.

Today, they showed us what he is going to be wearing when he goes to Space. Sadly, he is not going to be dressed like Captain Kirk, his iconic character from Star Trek. Instead, he will be wearing blue for Blue Origin. I get it, but it is a missed opportunity.

Another opportunity missed is Tuesday’s launch. Blue Origin announced this morning, “Due to forecasted winds in West Texas we are pushing #NS18 launch target to Wednesday, October 13. Liftoff is targeted for 8:30 am CDT”

If you want to watch The Shat’s dream come true, then you can watch it live at 9:30a EST/6:30a EST at BlueOrigin.com.

Now, can we talk about Shatner’s face? The 90-year-old actor looks like a 9-year-old boy with that smile. Can you blame him? Every boy dreams about this, and he is actually going to do it. Granted, when he was 9, going into a Space was still almost 30 years away from happening.

After eight seasons and two movies, Gus (Dulé Hill) is finally getting his own Psych movie on November 18th called Psych 3: This Is Gus on Peacock.

Gus is about to marry the woman of his dreams, and Selene (Jazmyn Simon, Hill’s real-life wife) is carrying their first child. However, he finds out that she might not be who she says she is, and she was also married. So now, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus are going to do all they can to find out what they can before he walks down the aisle.

What is the worst that can happen? With these two, you never know. And that is why we are still getting more Psych seven years after USA made the mistake of canceling the show.

Hear the stories of people who say A Ghost Ruined My Life
October 9th, 2021 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+, Eli Roth. [ Comments: none ]

Imagine you are living a normal life, and then all of a sudden, a ghost destroys everything? It happens more than you think, and Eli Roth is telling some of their stories about how A Ghost Ruined My Life every Friday on Discovery+.

Each week, the person whose life was ruined tells us their story while Roth reimagines what happened. For example, in the first episode, a mother of a young son moves into a house, and immediately the haunting begins. She calls in paranormal experts to help her, and they tell her to move. Since she can’t afford to do it, she stays. As time goes on, the entities get more and more evil and destructive. However, one day it goes too far. What will she do now?

In the second episode, a married couple is enjoying their life of wedded bliss until the father of one of the brides dies. After that, he starts to haunt his daughter-in-law, and he won’t leave her alone no matter where they go. Can their marriage survive? Can they convince him to move on?

Roth knows how to make docuseries interesting. He lets the story play out and doesn’t repeat everything like every two minutes. Plus, he knows how to direct the visuals, so you feel like you are experiencing what the haunted person was going through. That is the whole point of dramatizations, and he is a master of it.

Hello Wisconsin, The ’70s Show is flash forwarding to the ’90s
October 8th, 2021 under Netflix, That '70s Show. [ Comments: none ]

Have you been wanting a sequel to That ’70s Show since it went off the air 15 years ago? Well, you are getting one. That is because Netflix announced today that they picked That ’90s Show for ten episodes.

Who will be back? Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their roles as Red and Kitty. Who won’t be back? Danny Masterson. They didn’t say that, but it is a given along with the late actresses Tanya Roberts and Lisa Robin Kelly.

What is it about? They said, “It’s 1995, and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”

I can’t wait to see what they do to the basement. I hope it still has the ’70s feel, and they don’t update it for the ’90s.

Are you going to watch it when it streams?
