Are you psyched for a third Psych movie?
May 13th, 2021 under Psych. [ Comments: none ]

Even though USA Network cancelled Psych, the series lives on in movies on Peacock. That is because the show is giving birth to its third telemovie this year.

The press release says, “In preparation for a shotgun wedding before the birth of Baby Guster, Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Groomzilla Gus (Dulé Hill) go rogue in an attempt to track down Selene’s (Jazmyn Simon) estranged husband, as Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) grapples with the future of his career.”

Fun fact, Hill and Simon are married in real life, so it will be nice to see them do it again on the small screen. That is if their characters can make it down the aisle. I can’t wait to see what a nightmare it will be for the Guster to finally share his life with someone other than Shawn.

BTWF: James Roday in Repli-Kate
October 14th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Psych. [ Comments: none ]

Before James Roday made up that he was psychic on Psych, he made a girl in Repli-Kate. What a head of hair he had in that 2002 movie when he was 25.

BTW if you want to watch a movie that is just pure fun, then I suggest watching this film. I just watched it on Tubi TV and I laughed the whole time.

Are you psyched for Psych The Movie 2?
February 14th, 2019 under Dulé Hill, Psych. [ Comments: none ]

Time to down some Malibu Pineapple because USA Network is giving us a second Psych movie later this year. Now that we know the good news, it is time to scream like Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill). What will this film be about you ask? TV Line got their hands on the synopsis.

Santa Barbara Police Chief Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) is ambushed on the job and left for dead. In a vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod, he begins to see impossible happenings around his recovery clinic. Shawn (Roday) and Gus (Hill) return to Lassie’s side in Santa Barbara and are forced to navigate the personal, the professional, and possibly the supernatural. Separated from their new lives in San Francisco, our heroes find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds as they secretly untangle a twisted case without the benefit of the police, their loved ones, or the quality sourdough bakeries of the Bay Area. What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever.

I wonder what that means? Will it end things between them and Juliet (Maggie Lawson), Henry (Corbin Bernsen) and Karen (Kirsten Nelson). We will find out soon enough. I also want to know who else from their past will come back to haunt them?

What I really want to know is why have they not brought Psych back as a weekly series? With Suits ending there is no excuse. Who cares about A Millon Little depressing Lies?

Are you psyched about Maggie Lawson’s new hairdo?
January 21st, 2019 under Bad Hair, Psych. [ Comments: none ]

For years, Maggie Lawson has let her straight blonde locks cascade down, but not anymore. She got a new hairdo for Lethal Weapon and it is a hairdon’t. It looks like she stuck her finger in an electrical socket and electricity created the shocking look. Or she went for a ride in a convertible on a windy day and Mother Nature was her stylist. Or it looks she went back to ’80s and someone told her that was the style back then so she unsuccessfully recreated the hairstyle.

We do not know why the hair department did that to her, but where is Lassie when you need him? Whoever did that to her committed a crime and needs to be arrested. This is a mystery that even Shawn could not solve. Therefore, we will have to wait until the episode airs to find out why the teased her hair to the point of no return.

Having said all of that, she somehow makes it work. Don’t you agree?

Are you psyched for this Psych get together?
December 25th, 2018 under Psych, Timothy Omundson. [ Comments: none ]

Last year for Christmas, we got a Psych reunion movie. This year, we get to see the gang together again for the holiday.
Timothy Omundson, James Roday, Maggie Lawson and Dulé Hill might not be fighting crime on television anymore, but that does not mean they are still not partners in crime. Which makes you wonder why USA has not brought back this show? Especially, since Omundson is looking so much healthier since he had his stroke in 2017.
