Manifest takes flight over to Netflix for its final season

Even though Manifest is one of Netflix’s most watched shows, NBC decided to cancel it.

Ever since it was cancelled fans have been trying to get the Sci-Fi drama picked up by someone else. Something that looked hopeless after Netflix said no. Well, today, it finally happened!

EP Jeff Rake announced that Netflix renewed the show for a 20-episode final season.

While, it did not make it to six seasons like they wanted, it is better than what we had a month ago, which was nothing.

I hope the series ends better than Lost did. We can’t afford another ending like that.

Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood is a fun film the whole family can enjoy together
August 27th, 2021 under Jon Lovitz, Tubi TV. [ Comments: none ]

There are so many films out there these days, but there are very few the whole family can sit and watch together. Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood is just that movie. And the best part is that you can stream it at home for free on Tubi TV.

Robin Hood (Chase Brown) is a fifth-grader who loves his school. So much so, he and his friends are raising money so that they can get the supplies they need for their classrooms.

Everyone is all for it, including their teacher Ms. Tuck (Jacquelin Arroyo), but Vice Principal Prince (Jon Lovitz). He wants the money for himself so that he can bribe the school board to make him the President.

When Robin finds out about his plan, he and his friends, Maria Fox (Iliana Isabella Perez) and John Little (Jayden Scala) are going to use their wits to catch Prince in the act.

They just have to outsmart Prince and his goons, including the school’s bumbling security guard (Stephen Kramer Glickman).

Think of it like Home Alone with a lot of hijinx, but it takes place at a school. Are the bad guys smarter than a fifth grader? You will just have to watch this movie where you root for the good guys and hope they torture the bad guys as much as possible.

Lovitz plays the baddest guy, and he is so good at it. This is a role he was born to play. As a critic, I will say the star of The Critic and the movie don’t stink.

Whether you have a family or not, you are going to love this film. Because we all had that one teacher that we wish we could have busted for being the awful person that they are. Since we couldn’t, we can just imagine what it would’ve been like via Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood.

Then when you are done, you can stream these back to school movies, the Monster High franchise, Zapped starring Zendaya, Karate Kid, Help I Shrunk My Teacher, Wheels on the Bus, Teen Star Academy, Jurassic School, Mr. Frog, Leo the Wildlife Ranger, and many more for free on Tubi TV.

In honor of kids finally getting back into the classroom, Tubi has teamed up with the Kids in Need Foundation, to provide vital school supplies and learning tools to under-resourced teachers and students nationwide. So not only are you watching kids go back to school, but you are helping them get the supplies they need.

Cobra Kai gets picked up for season 5 before 4 even debuts
August 27th, 2021 under Billy Zabka, Harold and Kumar, Netflix, Ralph Macchio. [ Comments: none ]

The fourth season of Cobra Kai is set to debut in December, but Netflix is not waiting until then to renew the Emmy-nominated show for another season. The show’s EP Jon Hurwitz announced that it will be back for a 5th season today.

The upcoming season is about them taking their fight to All Valley, so I am assuming the next one will be the ramifications of who wins and who loses. But I am just spitballing.

If you have not seen Cobra Kai, the sequel of The Karate Kid movies, you are missing out on the biggest fan-favorite show out now.

T.3 would still be on America’s Got Talent if they sang this song
August 27th, 2021 under America's Got Talent, Olivia Rodrigo. [ Comments: none ]

T.3 is an acapella group who made it to the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent this season. For that round, they decided to sing Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U, a choice that the judges and the fans didn’t think was a good one. Therefore, they were eliminated.

Yesterday, they posted a video of themselves harmonizing Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now. I think that if they performed this song instead, they would still be on the competition show.

What do you think?

I have been following them on TikYok since before we saw them on the NBC program, and I suggest you do the same. They are one of the best acapella bands out there, and I love this genre.

I am sure they will do well even though they didn’t make it to the semifinals.

KISS postpone at least one date because Paul Stanley has COVID-19
August 27th, 2021 under Coronavirus, KISS. [ Comments: 1 ]

While several musicians like BTS and Garth Brooks are canceling concerts because they don’t want their fans to get COVID-19, KISS postponed a date on their final tour because Paul Stanley tested positive for it.

“Tonight’s [August 26th] KISS show at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA is unfortunately postponed due to Paul Stanley testing positive for COVID,” a statement reads. “Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated. The band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows. The tour also has a COVID safety protocol officer on staff full-time that is ensuring everyone is closely following all CDC guidelines.”

No word if any other shows will be postponed. But their next gig is slated for tomorrow in Raliegh, N.C.

Get well soon, Paul Stanley. And everyone who isn’t vaccinated but can get the shot, do it now! It is better than getting coronavirus.
