Before Charlie Robinson was a Vietnam Vet on Night Court, he played one on Lou Grant. The 33-year-old did a great job in that 1979 episode.
Robinson passed away yesterday at the age of 75 from cardiac arrest with multisystem organ failures due to septic shock and metastatic adenocarcinoma according to The Hollywood Reporter.
His co-star Marsha Warfield wrote this, “My friend Charlie passed away today.
“I’m so sorry to read about and write this.
“Charlie Robinson was one of the great ones.
“My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, fans and all whose lives he touched.
“Rest well, Charlie, I thought you’d live forever.”
I thought the same. I thought he would be the last one to go from that show because he always seemed so strong.
Anytime I saw him in anything after Night Court, like This Is Us, Hart of Dixie, and Still Standing, he would always bring a smile to my face. He just had a positive presence about him.
Today, let’s keep that presence alive by watching one of the many great things he did throughout his 50-year career.

I love cheesy teenage movies, but this looks unwatchable. Imagine two hours of her being all hyper and positive. No, thank you! And I am a positive person, but she is like on a scale of 1-10 at 1,000,000. Too much for little old me.
I am so grateful my nieces aren’t into her. If they were, I would begrudgingly be buying them her merchandise from the 99 Cents Only Store, Five & Below, Walmart, and whatever discount store I shop at and hate myself for doing so. However, they are not a member of the JoBow Squad. Is that what they are called? I don’t even want to know. Forget I asked.
We are still over two months away from the start of the new season on network television. How do I know that? CBS announced when their old shows will be back and when their new ones will premiere.

CBS finally got something right when it comes to their big event programming. Today, they announced that Cedric the Entertainer will be hosting the Emmys on Sunday, September 19th.
“Since I was a little boy huddled up next to my grandmother, television has always been my reliable friend, so it is an enormous honor for me to host this year’s Emmy Awards,” said Cedric the Entertainer. “Throughout the roller-coaster of a year that we have all lived through, television has helped us stay connected as a society like never before. It not only entertained us, but as it always has, it helped to open our eyes, educate us, and hopefully brought about a better understanding of who we are as a people. I can’t wait to take the stage to celebrate all of the great shows and performances that made us laugh, cry, dance and sing over the past year.”
Hopefully, his CBS sitcom The Neighborhood will get a nomination, but I doubt it because it is a broadcast network show.
