I haven’t willingly watched the Emmys in years because there is no one for me to root for. This year, I have a lot to root for.
While they still had a lot of their pompous choices like The Handmaid’s Tale and Mom, they also had a lot of surprises like Conan, The Boys, Cobra Kai (in comedy), and Kenan Thompson for Kenan and Saturday Night Live, to name a few.
Between the nominees and Cedric the Entertainer hosting, I think the Emmys’ rating slide might end. At least it should because they went a little bit more mainstream thanks to Disney+’s programs The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and Hamilton being nominated.
The Emmys air on Sunday, September 19th. To see who all the nominations, then click here!
Tell me you grew up with Broadway musicals without telling me you grew up with Broadway musicals.
How? The other night on Jeopardy, they had a category dedicated to Broadway Musicals By Opening Numbers. It was so easy that any fan of the Great White Way could get them all, which is why I did.
Too bad they didn’t make it really easy and ask Five-Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Six-Hundred Minutes. Although, they were all pretty easy.
I feel so smart! That is until I try the other categories. Then I am stoopid again.
Zac Efron is back in the States, so he went to visit his grandpa. Actually, he kidnapped him from his assisted living place. He would have gotten away with the crime if he didn’t put it on Instagram.
At least they had some fun before the Touchmark Terrace police caught up with them.
I wonder if the actor’s punishment was to entertain all of the grandmothers at his grandpa’s place? How hot would it be for all those ladies? I am sure his grandpa became the stud after this. That makes all of this worth it.
I guess there are people who still love Frasier enough to want a reboot. That is why Paramount+ is making it happen.
However, I am sure they want more than just Kelsey Grammer in it. Unfortunately, it looks like they won’t be getting what they want.
The actor told WNBC’s Jacque Reid, “We’ve reached out to everybody, Roz and Niles and Daphne. And of course, you know, that John [Mahoney] is gone. We intend to deal with that some in the first episode.” Then he added, “It is my hope that everybody comes back. It always was my hope because it is a third act for everybody.
Maybe if he called Peri Gilpin, David Hyde Pierce, and Jane Leeves by their real names and not their character ones, they would be more willing to sign on.
I know Grammer doesn’t think he needs the supporting cast, but they were an ensemble, and it wasn’t just his show. As much as, I assume, he would like to think it was.
