I see London, I see France, I see a 40′ inflatable Borat in his underpants
October 22nd, 2020 under Prime Video, Sacha Baron Cohen. [ Comments: none ]

Amazon Prime came up with an interesting way to promote Borat Subsequent Moviefilm that starts streaming tomorrow. They had a 40′ inflatable version of him wearing his mask-mankini floating in several large cities’ rivers across the World including London, Toronto, and New York City. However, it was Jersey who got the short end of the stick. As in Borat’s short stick was facing them from the Hudson River.

Then again, they knew NYC has been through a lot recently with hand-in-his-pants-with-a-minor Rudy Giuliani. I am so fast-forwarding that scene.

BTWF: Paula Abdul as a Lakers Girl
October 22nd, 2020 under Before They Were Famous, Paula Abdul. [ Comments: none ]

Before Paula Abdul was a sought after choreographer, she got her start as a dancer for the Lakers. You can tell that the 18-year-old was bound to be an American Idol back in 1980.

Prince William: Kentucky Fried ChicKing
October 22nd, 2020 under British Royals, Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

Prince William was walking around England when something caught his eye. I am not sure if it was a breast or a leg, but I do know it was not attached to a woman. That is unless it was in her mouth.

What am I talking about? The hungry King-to-be looked lovingly into a KFC. He wanted what was in that fast food restaurant as much as those people would want everything in his bedroom in Buckingham Palace. He was salivating with temptation. It is good for him to want what his subjects have. It will make him a better King.

That is why KFC captioned the photo, “Oh, I just can’t wait to be wing.” However, after some time, they regretted that initial tweet. That is why they added, “I’m sad I didn’t call him His Royal Thighness in the main tweet tbh.”

How would you caption Colonel Williams?

Dolly Parton is bringing a little bah humbug to Netflix
October 22nd, 2020 under Dolly Parton, Jenifer Lewis, Netflix, Treat Williams. [ Comments: none ]

Dolly Parton has become a television movie staple over the last few Christmases. She has had telemovies on NBC, Hallmark, and Netflix. This year’s present is called Christmas on the Square. The musical will debut November 22nd on Netflix, and it stars the lovable legend as an Angel, Christine Baranski as a Scrooge, Treat Williams as her ex-sweetheart, and Jenifer Lewis as her friend.

While it is not a Christmas Carol per se, it has some similarities to the Mark Twain classic, and that is OK. “A rich and nasty woman, Regina Fuller, returns to her small hometown after her father’s death to evict everyone and sell the land to a mall developer – right before Christmas. However, after listening to stories of the local townsfolk, reconnecting with an old love, and accepting the guidance of an actual angel, Regina starts to have a change of heart. This is the story about family, love, and how a small town’s Christmas spirit can warm even the coldest of hearts.”

The holiday film includes 14 original songs from Miss Dolly. Debbie Allen choreographed the dance numbers.

Between this movie and Dolly’s Christmas album, the season is going to be so bright with joy that even 2020 cannot put it out. Well, unless 2020 gives Santa Claus COVID-19 and kills him. Which, at this rate, would not totally surprise me.

As sad as I will be about old Saint Nick going to the big North Pole in the sky, I will still be full of happiness because I will be watching Christmas on the Square over and over and over again. How can you watch anything from Dolly and not feel happy after it is over?

Who is the lone holdout on a Living Single revival?
October 22nd, 2020 under Queen Latifah, The Real. [ Comments: none ]

Kim Coles was on The Real today, and the hosts asked her to get real about the prospect of will there ever being a Living Single revival?

Coles told them there is a lot of talk about it. However, there is one thing that is stopping them from moving forward. She said that the producer/creator, Yvette Lee Bowser, feels that “it is all or nothing.” That means, according to Coles, “unless everyone says yes, it won’t happen.”

Loni Love was paying attention to the actress’ words and wanted to know who was the person who is saying no. Coles wouldn’t say who or what sex they are, which means we have to guess who it is?

Is it Queen Latifah, Erika Alexander, T.C. Carson, John Henton, Kim Fields, and Mel Jackson? We know it is not Coles, so my money is on Queen Latifah. Then again, it could be Carson, who had issues with the writers, and that caused him to be fired from the sitcom. Who do you think it is?
