There has not been a lot to look forward to in 2020, but that all changed today. Lifetime announced that Miss Betty White is going to be starring in one of their Christmas movies.
According to the network, “National treasure Betty White joins the Lifetime holiday family for an untitled Christmas movie in which she helps whip would-be Santa’s into shape, spreading the true meaning of Christmas and leading everyone to wonder: is she secretly Mrs. Claus?”
Lifetime better cast some good looking young men to play Mrs. Claus’ Santa wannabes. She might be 98 years young, but she is still the sexiest woman in any room. That means she needs to work with men that are equally as hot.
She is not the only big name coming to the network. Jamie Lee Curtis stars in How We Sleep at Night: The Sara Cunningham Story. Robin Roberts has another movie in the works with them. The channel can’t enough of TAFKAP Harry and Meghan Markle, so they are getting a third movie. When it come to the other holiday movies, White’s star power will be joined Kelly Rowland, Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart in their own movies.
Normally, Lifetime makes me cry. Today they made me smile.

This Sunday at 8p on Fox, The Simpsons’ theme song is going to sound a little bit different. That is because Weezer is going to perform it.
Not only that, but they are also going to play a Weezer cover band called Sailor’s Delight on the episode. Sailor’s Delight is going to perform songs from the band’s Black Album and debut a new tune from their upcoming CD Van Weezer.
I hope that record is also the Yellow Album in honor of them getting Simpsonfied.
Since we can’t dine out like we used to, we have been forced to cook for ourselves. Ariel Winter is just like us, so she decided to try to cook a Greek meal because that is her heritage.
She told Access Hollywood how making a simple meal went oh so wrong. While she was cutting up a peeled tomato, she wound up cutting something else. That something else was the tip of her thumb. She was talking to her boyfriend while using a new knife, not really paying attention to what she was doing, and watched as her thumb got a little shorter. Since the actress cut an artery, she was bleeding profusely. Thus, her boyfriend grabbed the tip and took them both to the hospital.
When they got there, he gave the nurse the severed fingertip. The nurse returned it to the couple in a plastic bag. They didn’t know that, and she accidentally threw out the blood-soaked bag. When they realized what they had done, they went back to get it.
Now, she can laugh about what happened, back then, not so much.
No word if she will ever try to make a Greek dish again. I wouldn’t if I was her.
Ryan Reynolds owns a company called Aviation Gin, so you would think, when he promotes it, he would like to highlight how good it tastes. Instead, the actor showed us that it makes you feel like you woke up dead the next morning in a pool of your own vomit.

When it comes to his character, I didn’t see Sheldon Cooper. That is the good news. The bad news is all I saw was Pee Wee Herman. Actually, it was more like Paul Reuben when he was on Murphy Brown.
When it comes to the mini-series, it is an enjoyable binge. It really captured the feel of the era even though the drama took a lot of liberties with the truth. Then again, who hasn’t? After all, that is what Hollywood is all about.
