Patti LuPone was on Watch What Happens Live yesterday and she was spilling the tea to Andy Cohen. The actress said that Barbra Streisand is 50 years too old to play Gypsy, the time she destroyed a dressing room when she got fired from a play in London, and what she thought of playing Madonna’s mother in Evita.
My favorite spilled tea is when she talked about how Glenn Close crashed her get together with Jon Hamm and Rannells. The three of them were having drinks in Manhattan when Close came over and sat next to the Mad Men star. After the Fatal Attraction star left, LuPone said to Hamm, “If you f*ck her, I will never speak to you again.” With that stern warning, he did not go home with her. Which is a good thing because who wants her rabbit soup.
Talking about vengeance, why is LuPone so hasty towards Close? My friend Michael gave me the deets. Close was starring as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, and she was a huge hit. So much so, they asked her to do the role on Broadway. There was only one problem, LuPone was already offered the role. Therefore, LuPone found out she was fired in the papers, and because of that, she is not a fan of Close.
I think the two should kiss, makeup, and star in a Broadway rendition of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. I would pay a lot of money to see that pairing.
Back when Jimmy Fallon and Kate Hudson filmed Almost Famous, the two developed a sweet friendship. One that Jimmy Fallon thought could possibly be something more, but he never did anything about it.
He admitted it on his show a while back, and he had not spoked to his former co-star about since then. Yesterday, the actress was on The Tonight Show and she revealed to him if he had a chance of dating her. Hudson said, “If you would have actually made a movie, I would have totally gone there.”
That is the second actress from Nine, he missed out on dating. The other one is Nicole Kidman.
Rod Stewart sang Some Guys Have All The Luck, and it was not about Fallon.

I know Ed Asner as Lou Grant from The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Lou Grant, and the kids know him from Up. Now, we are all going to know him as the 90-year-old man who showed Drake how to do the Tootsie Slide.
Current SAG President Gabrielle Carteris challenged the former one to the #dorkitoutdancechallenge to raise money to give people in need $100 grocery gift cards via On Being Human 2020. He gleefully accepted and showed he is a double threat. I have never heard him sing, so I can’t say triple one.
Either way, I hope I have moves like that when I am his age.
Asner challenged Dancing with the Stars’ host Tom Bergeron to dork it out, and how could he say no to his old friend. If you want to see him dork it out via dancing, then click here!
Back in 2015, during the series finale of Glee, we found out that Rachel Berry is pregnant in 2020. Now that we are in 2020, Lea Michele and her husband, Zandy Reich, are expecting their first child later this year according to People.
Michele and Reich celebrated their first anniversary in March and will be parents by their second one.
While the actress has yet to confirm the news, I am sure once she does, she won’t stop singing about it.
