Lea Michele has some news to share. No, she did not announce that she is doing a Funny Girl movie. At least, not yet.
Instead, the actress is working on another production. One that it looks like she started as soon as she finished the Broadway run of Funny Girl. The Glee star is full of glee because she is expecting her second child with her husband, Zandy Reich.
The couple, who just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, are also the parents to Ever Leo, 3.
We are getting a new season of Carpool Karaoke on Apple TV+ this Friday. Today, the streamer announced who is going to sing and drive this time around.
Getting in the car this season are The Afterparty’s John Cho, Zoë Chao, Jack Whitehall, Sam Richardson and Anna Konkle; Avril Lavigne and YUNGBLUD; Glee’s Lea Michele and Darren Criss; Cedric The Entertainer and Sheryl Lee Ralph; Alanis Morissette and Cara Delevingne; Girls5eva’s Busy Philipps, Sara Bareilles, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry; Ghosts’ Román Zaragoza, Rebecca Wisocky, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Rose McIver and Devan Long; and Community’s Alison Brie and Danny Pudi with a surprise appearance from Joel McHale.
Which episode are you looking forward to most? Obviously, I am all about Ghosts. However, I can’t wait to see Alanis Morissette’s reaction to WAP. Can you believe there are still people who haven’t heard the song?
Lea Michele is taking a break from doing Funny Girl, and it is not because she wants to.
“Unfortunately, Lea Michele has tested positive for Covid.” the Broadway musical wrote. “She will be out of the show this week and will return on Tuesday, May 23rd.”
Hopefully, she has a mild case and will be back wowing the gorgeous audiences as she has been!

I am surprised that with the record-breaking box office, they are letting the curtain go down. But I guess nothing lasts forever.
Unless Michele signed on to do a movie version of the show. Will Barbra Streisand let her do that? I am sure that is something Babs would allow only over her dead body.
Lea Michele and almost all of her life acting, and not a lot of it in traditional school. So there are rumors that she cannot read. However, she finally has a reason to learn how to do it.
It is not to put her son to sleep by reading him fairy tales. It is not how to read all the scripts that will come her way because of the success of Funny Girl. Instead, it is because her idol, the original Fanny Brice, aka Barbra Streisand, is releasing a memoir.
