Chris Colfer reveals why he won’t go see Funny Girl
October 12th, 2022 under Chris Colfer, Glee, Lea Michele. [ Comments: none ]

Chris Colfer is in NYC, so you have to wonder if he is going to see his Glee co-star, Lea Michele, in Funny Girl. Well, Michelle Collins had him on her Sirius XM radio show, so she asked him for us.

Is the author going to go to see Rachel Barry as Fanny Brice? He told her, “No, I can be triggered at home!” And with that, the temperature suddenly dropped in Manhattan, and they skipped fall and immediately entered winter in the city.

And now, Colfer is my favorite person from Glee.

On the list of scandals from the musical comedy, this wouldn’t even make the list. To find out what will make it, we will have to watch the 3-part docuseries that is coming to Discovery+. According to Deadline, several of the cast members will be interviewed for the program. I really hope they get Colfer to sing like a canary.

Lea Michele singing Don’t Rain on My Parade again
October 7th, 2022 under Lea Michele. [ Comments: none ]

One of the most memorable moments from Glee is when Lea Michele sang Don’t Rain on My Parade during the first season finale. Now she is doing it nightly as Fanny Brice in Broadway’s Funny Girl. Her dream come true has finally happened, and we got to witness it this morning on Good Morning America.

And I have to admit; the actress sounded better when she did it, Glee. Be careful what you ask for because it is not always as good as you hoped it would be.

Lea Michele’s not funny reason for cancelling on Funny Girl
September 11th, 2022 under Coronavirus, Lea Michele. [ Comments: none ]

On Tuesday night, Lea Michele began her first appearance as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway. And yesterday, she announced that she was cancelling her first show of many.

UNFORTUNATELY. I HAVE OFFICIALLY
TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID. IN FOLLOWING PRODUCTION PROTOCOLI CANNOT RETURN TO THE THEATER FOR 10 DAYS.

THANKFULLY STAYING HOME TODAY AND CATCHING THIS EARLY PROTECTED SO MANY MEMBERS OF OUR COMPANY FROM BEING EXPOSED.

FUNNY GIRL HAS BEEN AND STILL IS TACKLING A TREMENDOUS WAVE OF COVID WITH CLOSE TO A DOZEN COMPANY

MEMBERS CURRENTLY OUT. WE ARE ALMOST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS AND OUR SWINGS AND UNDERSTUDIES ARE DOING SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB TO KEEP OUR SHOW ON ITS FEET.

THIS WEEK HAS BEEN A DREAM COME TRUE AND I CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK – YOU BETTER GET READY. SEE YOU SOON.

According to the show’s social media, the extraordinary understudy “Julie Benko will be performing the role of Fanny Brice for all performances through Sunday, September 18th.”

Personally, I wish they would just Benko the role. She has earned it, and the audience loves her.

Lea Michele finally is Fanny Brice in Broadway’s Funny Girl
July 11th, 2022 under Broadway, Lea Michele. [ Comments: none ]

When the revival of Funny Girl announced that Beanie Feldstein was going to play Fanny Brice on Broadway, there were a lot of people who wondered why Lea Michele didn’t get the role.

Ever since Michele sang Don’t Rain on My Parade on Glee, it seemed like it was her role to lose, and she lost it.

Then yesterday, Feldstein announced that she was leaving the show earlier than her September departure because the musical was changing directions. After her announcement, the show said they would reveal her replacement today.

Who is it? It is Lea Michele. “A dream come true is an understatement,” the actress wrote. “I’m so incredibly honored to join this amazing cast and production and return to the stage playing Fanny Brice on Broadway. See you September 6th.”

Hopefully, her dream won’t turn into a nightmare. I think if she doesn’t play to sell-out crowds, I wouldn’t be surprised if the show closes during her run. Yikes.

When it comes to who will be playing Brice between August 1st and September 5th, that person is Julie Benko. Benko has been getting a lot of praise in the role. Unlike the person who was hired to play it.

Lea Michele showed Jonathan Groff her whole vagina
April 25th, 2022 under Lea Michele. [ Comments: none ]

For some reason, HBO thinks we want to see a reunion of the cast from Spring Awakening. Therefore, on May 3rd, the network is airing the documentary Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known.

According to People, were are going to learn a lot about the stars. You might even say we are getting too much information from Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff. That is because the actress shared how close they were/are.

How close? You are going to regret asking that question. Groff, who was in the closet at the time, was nervous if he was going to be able to pull off his love scenes with Michele. The two became very close as they worked on the Broadway play. So close that the Glee star admits, “He was like, ‘I’ve never seen a woman’s vagina before. Would you show me?’ And I was like, ‘Sure.’ And I took a desk lamp … and showed him. That’s how close we are…. But I’ve never seen Jonathan naked. I’ve never seen his penis.”

Speechless is all I am after that reveal. And speechless is what I wish Michele was because some things are better unsaid, and that is definitely on the list. Mostly because it is all about me, and I am picturing her sitting on a table, pulling down her underwear, grabbing the lamp, and telling him to look with her legs spread eagle. Hey, I am not suffering alone!
