John Oates won’t let emergency surgery keep him from rocking |

John Oates posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed and revealed that he had emergency surgery six days ago at Vanderbilt Hospital.
He wrote, “Last week I felt pain under my right rib and had to go in for emergency gallbladder surgery. Talk about frightening!” Then he added, “Now 6 days later getting ready to start the first show on H&O tour in Hershey tonight and Madison Square Garden on Friday.”
It is crazy that he could have emergency surgery less than a week ago and then hit the stage with Hall & Oates like nothing ever happened. Forget the Method of Modern Love, it is all about the method of modern medicine.

Back in 2011, Gwyneth Paltrow starred in a movie called Contagion, where she unintentionally spread a deadly plague around the World. That was then, and this is now.
Anyways, working on a movie about an international pandemic has prepared her for one. The actress is traveling to Paris, and she does not want to get the Coronavirus and be a carrier. Therefore, she is wearing a mask on the plane, so no one will blame her for eating a contaminated animal and wiping out most of the population, again.
BTW That mask she is wearing is on sale at goop for $75; they are called Smells Like My Bad Breath.
That is a lie, here is a true story. I once flew back and forth to NYC with bronchitis, which I did not know at the time. Well, I was coughing up a storm, and guess what the movie was playing on the back of our seats? Contagion. I swear. I did not think I was going to make it off of that airplane alive. I knew exactly who was watching the film because they were the ones giving me the looks that could kill.
Oh, and yes, I watched the movie both ways because sometimes I can be a masochist. Even though I watched it, I believe that movies like that should not be shown on planes for the safety of their passengers like me.

We know that Tony Shaloub can act, but did you also know that the Emmy-winner can sing and play the guitar? Today, Carly Simon shared a video of him performing her song It Was So Easy with her and some friends. The Grammy-winner revealed that they are rehearsing for Carnegie Hall.
They are getting ready for March 19th. That is when Michael Dorf will be presenting her music as performed by other artists like the actor. So far, they have announced some of the other singers and they are Indigo Girls, Darlene Love, The Bangles’ Susannah Hoff, Michael McDonald, and Natasha Bedingfield to name a few.
If you are in NYC, then this is a night you don’t want to miss.

On February 20th, WLOS‘s Justin Hinton was reporting live on the weather in Madison County, NC in order to prevent accidents. However, there was one accident he could not prevent.
Before the broadcast, he interacted with the viewers on Facebook Live. What he did not realize is that he somehow activated the faces generator filter on his phone. Thus, while he is giving a serious report about the hazardous driving conditions, they were seeing him with funny faces. Much to everyone’s delight.
Hinton had no idea about any of it until after the live shot. He revealed what happened, on guess what, Facebook. He wrote, “The photog I was working with said something about the screen having weird faces. He didn’t elaborate, so I said it would probably go away. Needless to say, it did not go away. 😂😂 I didn’t realize it until I stepped off camera and saw the comments where people were talking about the faces. My bosses, coworkers, friends, PIOs and more called/texted saying how funny it was, so here you go.”
Then he added, “If you can’t laugh at yourself, what’s the point of laughter? I hope you enjoyed the snow day, and remember to smile and laugh!” So today smile and laugh when you think of him as a fox and a wizard. We should dub him the Wizard of Weather.
BTW who else thinks that more news reporters should do this when they are reporting the news. I bet their ratings would go up because I would tune in to see what filters they are going to use that newscast. I would ask some of my friends to do that, but they get all insulted when I do.

Prince Harry was the speaker at one of his last official events as a working Prince today. He asked the moderator at the Travalyst project summit, which brings together industry leaders to make eco-friendly travel easier for consumers, to introduce him differently.
Ayesha Hazarika told the audience, “He’s made it clear that we are all to call him Harry. So ladies and gentlemen please give a big warm Scottish welcome to Harry.”
I don’t know if I can get used to calling him just Harry from now on. But then again, we have gotten used to calling Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn. Whatever happened to her?
