Fox Searchlight is teaming up with Eva Longoria to do a movie about Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. However, the snacks are not the star of the film.
What? According to Deadline, the movie tells the amazing story of Richard and Judy Montanez. Richard worked as a janitor at Frito-Lay when he came up with the idea for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. The rest is what American Dreams are made of.
Longoria will direct and I bet she will ask her friend George Lopez to play the lead.

How did they not cast Josh Groban in Cats? |

This December, Cats is coming to the big screen with several famous actors attached to the crappy musical. However, there is one name that did not make the list. That person is Josh Groban. Today, the singer leaked his audition tape dancing to and singing Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats.
How could they not find a role for him? Not to sound catty. He is sexier than Idris Elba. He is a better Tony host than James Corden. He can out sing Jason Derulo in opera. How is he not purrfect for the feature? Think of the memory it would have made for the Grobanites.
The film would have done well because the audience would have been filled with his fans and Taylor Swift’s Swifties. Who is going to go see it because of Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Hudson? No one. They would have gone for Groban. I would not have gone because I despise Cats, but others would have.
Well, let’s hold out hope he gets cast in the sequel, Cats: The Euthanization. OK, there I was being catty. Me and ow.

A ’70s girl’s wet dream: Henry Winkler and John Travolta! |

Back in the ’70s, women were in love with The Fonz and Vinnie Barbino. Even though both of them shared many magazine covers, we never saw them in the same photo.
That is until now. The two men met over the weekend, and we got this smile-inducing photo as a present. It might be over 40 since we fell in love with Henry Winkler on Happy Days and John Travolta on Welcome Back, Kotter, however, we still adore them as much now as we did then. They both get better with age. And I still would not tell them to “Sit on it” or say to them “Up your nose with a rubber hose.” Yet, I would love to scream “Ayyyy” with them. If you know what I mean.
Seriously, doesn’t this picture bring you so much joy? It made my day!
They should do a project together. Maybe they both can compete to be Danny Zuko in a sequel to Grease. Since Winkler turned it down and Travolta, as we know, got the role. I wonder if they talked about that when they met up?
I can honestly just see the two of them talking to each other with huge smiles on their faces. They both are some of the nicest guys in Hollywood.

Real World’s Sean Duffy resigns from Congress!!! |

We got to know Sean Duffy on Real World: Boston and Road Rules: All Stars. He met his wife Rachel Campos on the latter and the two married in 1999. Together they have 8 children with one more on the way.
Back in 2008, he ran for the House of Representatives in Wisconsin and won. He has held that seat even since. Today, he announced his resignation effective next month.
Next to marrying Rachel, representing you – the people and families of Wisconsin’s 7th District – in Congress has been the highest honor of my life. Together, we have engaged in the most important battles of our time: protecting freedom of speech and religious liberty, taking care of our veterans, defending the unborn, and saving American jobs and American capitalism.
After eight and a half years, the time has come for me to focus more on the reason we fight these battles – family.
As you all know, raising a family is hard work. It’s especially true for one as large and busy as mine. Being away from home in Washington four days a week is challenging and for that reason, I have always been open to signs from God when it comes to balancing my desire to serve both my family and my country.
Recently, we’ve learned that our baby, due in late October, will need even more love, time, and attention due to complications, including a heart condition. With much prayer, I have decided that this is the right time for me to take a break from public service in order to be the support my wife, baby and family need right now. It is not an easy decision – because I truly love being your Congressman – but it is the right decision for my family, which is my first love and responsibility.
On September 23, I will step down and allow others to step forward to begin laying out their own vision and plans for leading this beautiful district and the most honest, hard-working, family-oriented, patriotic, and God-fearing constituents in America.
I will be forever grateful for and humbled by the faith and sacred trust you have put in me all these years. I am especially grateful for the prayers said on behalf of our family. We hope they keep coming! I will miss being your Congressman, but I am also looking forward to having more time with my family, being home for more birthdays and hockey games, and having time to enjoy and care for our new baby girl, who is already so loved by our family.
Personally, I don’t believe that excuse. I am not sure what other reason there is, but I think there is more to it.
When it comes to his resignation, I say good riddance. He is a radical Republican and we need a lot less of them so that his 9 children can have a fighting chance of seeing adulthood.

A Hair (the movie) reunion! |
August 26th, 2019 under Reunions, Treat Williams. [ Comments: none ]

Back in March, Hair (the movie) turned the big 4-0. Last week, several of the film’s co-stars met up the Avon Theater in Connecticut to talk about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.
Annie Golden (Jeannie), Don Dacus (Woof), Beverly d’Angelo (Shelia), Dorsey Wright (Hud), Treat Williams (Berger), John Savage (Claude) still look groovy. However, Dacus, Wright and Williams still don’t have that long beautiful hair. What is even weirder is that Savage has the longest locks of the men, I guess Gd still believes in Claude’s hair.
Even though Ellen Foley (Meat Loaf’s Paradise in the Dashboard Life, Night Court) and Charlayne Woodard (Pose) had smaller roles in the film, I wish they were there too. As we know Nell Carter, Richard Bright and Charlotte Rae were not available because they are no longer with us.
When it comes to Hair, it is tied with All That Jazz, Annie and Little Shop of Horrors as my favorite musicals. Since it is the one I saw first, it was my favorite one first. It had such an impact on me when I was little girl, I still have the same crush on Williams as I did then. Seeing them together again makes me want to watch the film again for the millionth time again.
Who doesn’t love Hair?
