Tonight at 9p after 12 seasons and 246 episodes, Bones says goodbye on Fox. While saying goodbye is never easy, the finale is very satisfying for its fans like me that have been there since episode 1.
Tonight’s episode picks up exactly where last week’s episode ended and we find out what happened to the Jeffersonian and Bones (Emily Deschanel), Booth 3(David Boreanaz), Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T. J. Thyne) after the explosion. They survived the bomb blast, but what are the lasting effects on them? For one thing, Brennan suffered a brain injury and it is effecting her ability to process information.
Cam (Tamara Taylor) and Aubrey (John Boyd) are outside the Jeffersonian doing everything they can to get in and save their friends. Once they are all reunited, they go after the bomber. Their lives are at risk because he means business, and they will do anything to stop him, but at what cost. They will have one last showdown, but who will survive to the credits.
Before the show signs off we will find out what happens to everyone and where they will go next. There are a lot of sweet surprises which makes this send off bittersweet.
Like I said it is sad to see Bones go, but we will always have these 246 episodes. And who knows maybe someday it will come back to solve more crimes with disgusting dead bodies. No show has killed off people in a more original and gross way than Bones and I am going to miss that. You never knew how people were going to find the corpses, but you always knew it was going to be unforgettable just like the show.
Thank you for 12 years of great television that made procedurals enjoyable to watch.
