Dean Norris risks his life to report on Hurricane Arthur
July 3rd, 2014 under Dean Norris, Under The Dome. [ Comments: none ]

Hurricane Arthur is heading towards the coast of North Carolina, and Dean Norris, who’s there working on Under the Dome, gave us an update on it from Wrightsville Beach. The actor was almost blown away by nearly 100 mph winds, and he wasn’t going to let that stop from reporting on the news. So watch as Big Jim is almost taken down by breaking bad storm. Let’s hope he will be OK and so will everyone in the affected areas.
Now when it comes to him joking on Instagram how he is reenacting what every reporter in every storm does, I have to say he is telling the truth. As someone, who worked in hard news and covered my fair share of Hurricanes, I can tell you it is a trick of the trade. The reporters have to make good television and reporters getting faces full of rain and sand is really good television. I should add, they are not faking the weather, but they put themselves in areas closer to the water where the wind is stronger rather than reporting from inland.
Finally back to Norris, if this acting thing doesn’t work out for one of television’s greatest actors, at least he has a future at the Weather Channel. Don’t you agree?

Has Chris Colfer sang his last high note on Glee?
July 3rd, 2014 under Glee. [ Comments: none ]

The Internets is going crazy because Chris Colfer Tweeted, “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly…” So everyone assumed it was him that Tweeted that, and he was not returning to the show for its final season.
Well his manager told The Hollywood Reporter that his Twitter account was hacked. Now even though his manager says he didn’t post that Tweet, it has yet to be taken down. Making me think that maybe Kurt Hummel will not be back when the show returns to Fox for its final episodes. But then TMZ added that he is on flight back from London with no WiFi access and that is why the Tweet is still there.
And just when I was about to hit Publish, 20th Century Fox Tweeted, “We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the…truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season.”
So why post a story about a hacked Twitter account? Because it is so freaking slow today and that is the most exciting thing to happen today.

The Old Spice ads keep getting creppier
July 3rd, 2014 under Ads. [ Comments: none ]

Old Spice has shown us mothers stalking their sons and Terry Crews slicing off his legs to sell their products, and now they are showing us a head of hair crawling off its owner and wiping the sweat off of a woman at a gym. Another commercial has that same head of hair sliver down its owner to get the guy a reservation at an upscale restaurant. I don’t know who they are attracting to buy their shampoo, but it ain’t me.
BTW, I don’t know what the people are smoking over at the advertising company that came up with these commercials, but obviously its a very bad stash. Seriously, what is wrong with them? Also are they the same company that is working on those weird DirectTV ads? You know the ones with the marionettes?

Someone actually asked Henry Winkler if he’s done the Winkler?
July 3rd, 2014 under Henry Winkler. [ Comments: none ]

Henry Winkler is the nicest guy in Hollywood, so I was shocked that a TMZ photographer actually asked him if he has ever done the Urban Dictionary version of the Winkler. What is the Winkler? It is, “A non-verbal form of communication used by men and women to initiate a hook-up and/or long-term relationship. The winkler consists of unzipping one’s pants and waving one’s penis at women until one of the women winks at the man doing the winkler thus confirming the hook-up.” As if he ever would. He’s too nice to do that and too nice to be asked about it.
So what happened is, at first the chat started off normally and the guy asked him if he knew what his surname, Winkler, means. The Fonz did not, but the photog did. Then after he explained what his last name means in an Ancestory book, the guy then told him what it means on UrbanDiction.com. Winkler was horrified, and yet remained polite as they crossed the street together. Then when the photog continued on with the questioning, Arthur Fonzarelli politely told him “I’m going now.” Finally ending their conversation in a way that proves why he’s the nicest guy in Hollywood by saying, “And I’m very happy to chat with you.” Seriously, how can you not love him? Most celebrities would’ve ended their conversation with I’m going now, but he ended it by telling the guy he was happy to talk to him. What a genuinely nice person he is. So much so, I just want to hug him through the computer. Don’t you want to do the same?
Not only because he is so nice, but you just want to comfort him after that line of questioning. Plus, it’s not like the Winkler is referring to him as the Tony Danza is referring to the Who’s the Boss star? Has anyone asked the Taxi star about that?

Has Robin Thicke seen that VMAs Blurred Lines performance?
July 3rd, 2014 under Alan and Robin Thicke. [ Comments: none ]

Robin Thicke will be on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, and he actually talked about something other than his soon-to-be-ex-wife during this week’s interview. When he was asked if he has seen that much talked about Blurred Lines performance with Miley Cyrus from the VMAs, he said “No, I just have no desire.”
The only desire he has these days is to get back with Paula Patton. And my only desire is that he grows some balls and stop being such a wuss about it. I mean, it’s no surprise his album is bombing, who wants to hear a man sing a whole bunch of songs begging his wife to take him back. If my man was acting like him, I wouldn’t take him back either.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Robin Thicke, I just wish he would grow a pair. Seriously, aren’t you sick of him being a whiny little b!tch?
