BTWF roles: Taran Killam in Stuck in the Suburbs
February 4th, 2014 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Taran Killam was a male cheerleader in Grown Ups 2, he had girls cheering him on in Stuck in the Suburbs. How cute was the 21 year old in that 2004 telemovie?

Tonight at 9p on Lifetime’s Dance Moms, Abby Lee Miller follows through on her threat to replace one of the girls. Well she doesn’t necessarily replace anyone, just yet, but she brings in a new Chloe to challenge the old Chloe. Of course this brings conflict among the mothers especially since the new mom is starting trouble with the old ones. Will she last? You just have to watch to find out.
And make sure to watch the preview for next week’s episode that has already been making headlines. See the start of infamous cat fight between Abby Lee Miller and Kelly. I am Team Kelly.

The 62 year old underwear model with American Apparel
February 4th, 2014 under Ads. [ Comments: none ]

American Apparel is changing things up and they have become a model example of what all clothing lines should follow. While almost every fashion retailer uses skinny, very young models with perfect bodies to sell their clothes, American Apparel is using a 62 year old beauty to model their underwear. Jacky O’Shaughnessy has been working for them since 2011, and now she has gotten a promotion to be their underwear model according to Eonline.
You know what, American Apparel has earned my business and respect just because they are using a real woman to sell their clothes. If the others want to earn too, then they should follow suit. Who else wants to see real women wearing the clothes that we are wearing as compared to women who have bodies we can never achieve without a lot of photoshop.

100 year old BFFs talk Twerking, Selfies, Justin Bieber and more!
February 4th, 2014 under Steve Harvey. [ Comments: none ]

Steve Harvey had 100 year old BFFs, Irene Cook and Alice Jensen, on his daytime talk show to talk about today’s pop culture and they are a lot hipper than you would think. Sweet little Alice knew about Selfies, iPhone problems and Justin Bieber, while Irene made everyone laugh when she told us what she thought the second F in BFF means. Let’s just she had to be bleeped. Another classic moment during the Q&A between these women, who have been best friends for 94 years, is how they reacted when they found out someone named their baby, North West. They were even more disgusted than we were. Seriously, can they be any cuter?
I hope that someone somewhere watched this segment and gives these two ladies a talk show because I would watched them every day. They are breath of fresh air!

Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf are working on another album!
February 4th, 2014 under Larry King, Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

If you are like me and absolutely love the way that Meat Loaf sings Jim Steinman’s beautiful intense words, then you will be excited to know that they are working like Bats out of Hell on a new album. Larry King asked Marvin Aday on his OraTV show if there was a rocky relationship between him and the brilliant lyricist and the singer denied it. In fact he let it slip that they are making sweet music together again.
I guess you can say that one of my Rock´N´Roll Dreams Come Through because I have been waiting for this collaboration to happen again for so long. So they better be going nowhere fast to release this future classic album.
Here’s a little secret about me, I would love to have a three-way with Meat and Steinman because their songs are some of my favorites and have gotten me through so much. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted Making Love (Out of Nothing at All) as the first song played at my wedding. I know Air Supply sang it, but Steinman wrote it and is the perfect song for a bride and groom. Right?
