Before Richard Dreyfuss was the narrator of The Call of the Wild: Dog of the Yukon, he played a dog on Bewitched. How cute was the 18 year in that 1966 episode?
Before Samuel L Jackson made some movie called Pulp Fiction with Quentin Tarantino, he auditioned for the director for another movie he did called Reservoir Dogs and didn’t get the part. Jules Winnfield told Jimmy Kimmel that when he walked into the audition he was told he would be reading with Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth, but only QT and his producing partner Lawrence Bender were in the room. At the time he didn’t know who they were thus his audition with them did not go that well. When he was done he walked out thinking those dudes suck. Then a little while later he saw the movie being screened at Sundance and he told QT that he liked the movie. Then QT asked him how he liked the guy who got his part and Jackson said, “Well I’m sure it would’ve been a better movie with me in it.” And QT said, “Don’t worry, I’m writing something for you,” and that something was Pulp Fiction. So even though their first meeting did not go over so well, as we all know the rest is cinematic history with Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.
Jackson also talked about his f*cking, bullsh!t appearance on Saturday Night Love, how his daughter had issues with cursing because of him being her father and that she directed his actual funny Funny or Die skit The Sad-Off! So watch the full interview from the ABC late night show because everything that comes out of his mouth is always interesting to hear.
When I saw the paparazzi pictures of Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson filming Pain & Gain in Miami, I wanted to see the film because I am a fan of both actors. But now that I’ve seen the trailer, there is no way you could get me to see it when it comes out in April. Granted I should’ve known it would be unwatchable as soon as Michael Bay’s name came up on the screen.
Over a quarter of a century ago Corey Feldman and Kiefer Sutherland filmed a little movie together called Stand By Me, and the latter tormented the first one. Then shortly afterwards they did another movie together called The Lost Boys and the same thing happened, but this time the first guy got a bigger stake in their fight. So it should be no surprise that since those two movies, the two men have not be seen together. That is until yesterday when Ace Merrill and Edgar Frog ran into each other. According to Teddy Duchamp “Lost Boys reunited: after 25 yrs I ran n2 Keifer 2nite! Making this the 1st and only foto ever taken of us off screen!” And then he posted the second picture.
I think these two should meet up more often because the 41 year old Feldman and the 45 year old Sutherland look just like they did when they made those two cult classics back in the mid-80’s! Seriously wouldn’t you like to see them work together again? I know I would!
Last week on Conan the TBS late night host said he was going to hell for bringing back The Human Centipede Menorah to his show on Monday and Thursday. Well yesterday a fan (rightfully) corrected him that he was doing it wrong. Well Conan O’Brien who is 255/256th Irish revealed that he is 1/256th Jewish and his great great great great great great great grandfather Rabbi Elijah Ben Schlomo Zalman Idon’tknowhowtospellthelastname, 18th century’s greatest Rabbinical scholar from Lithuania, wrote from his learnings in the Talmud that “The lights of Chanukkah are kindled from left to right unless, this is very unlikely, your menorah is made from humans connected from mouth to tuchases.” So oy, I guess, he had that right.
But he’s still going to hell for the sin he committed with his Human Centipede Menorah. And his hell will be each day he will be given the biggest late night show in heaven and each night Jay Leno will take it back. And Jay Leno’s hell will be he has to interview Jimmy Kimmel every night. And Jimmy Kimmel’s hell is he has to be interviewed by Leno every night. Hey hell don’t sound that bad…
