The Super Bowl will air on NBC on February 1st, but before lots and lots of us tune into watch the big game NBC’s sister network USA is going to air three Super Bowl themed episodes!

BURN NOTICE kicks it off on Thursday, January 29 at 10/9c in “Hot Spot” when Michael (Jeffrey Donovan), Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) and Sam (Bruce Campbell) pose as a gang of ruthless car thieves to stop a thug who is threatening a local high school football star. Meanwhile, Fiona and Michael track down the man responsible for the explosion at Michael’s loft. Former Dallas Cowboy and University of Miami Hurricane and football great, Michael Irvin makes a special guest appearance as the local football coach.

On Friday, January 30 at 9/8c, MONK suits up to play in “Mr. Monk Makes the Playoffs,” when Monk (Tony Shalhoub) scores tickets to the biggest football game of the year, but he and Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) can’t go inside until they figure out who tried to blow up a fan in the parking lot. Famed sports announcer Bob Costas stops by.

Immediately following on PSYCH, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill) are drafted in, the appropriately titled, “Any Given Friday at 10/9c,” when the guys sign up for training camp after the foot of a professional football kicker is discovered. Mykelti Williamson (“Forest Gump”) joins this episode as a special guest star.

I can’t wait to see all of those episodes!
BTW both Monk and Psych are back with two hysterical episodes this Friday and Burn Notice is back on January 22nd!!!

Damages is back on FX tonight
January 7th, 2009 under FX, Glenn Close. [ Comments: none ]

The series follows the turbulent lives of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close), the nation’s most revered and reviled high-stakes litigator and her bright, ambitious young protégé Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne).
After her unprecedented victory over billionaire Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson), Patty Hewes has the legal world at her feet. Just as she’s pondering her next move, Daniel Purcell (William Hurt), a man from Patty’s mysterious past, storms back into her life, catapulting Patty into a new legal challenge. What starts as a domestic murder case, escalates into the highest reaches of government as Patty unearths a vast conspiracy.
At the same time, Ellen is on a mission to take down Patty. She’s agreed to act as an informant for the FBI, assisting them in their criminal investigation of Patty and the firm. As Patty unravels the mystery surrounding Daniel Purcell, she must also negotiate the perilous minefield both inside and outside her office.

Damages is back on FX tonight at 10p and this season is so good! This season changes things up, but keeps with the brilliant acting, writing and great chemistry. Ellen is seeking revenge on Patty for killing her fiance, but by the interactions she has with her you would never know it. The question of whether or not Ted Danson would be back is answered with a yes. But wait until you see what has happened to him. Now that she has won her case against him, Patty needs a new big client and that person is played by Oscar winner William Hurt. To describe his character as pure evil, might be a nice way of putting it nicely.
I so can’t wait to see how this season unfolds because if is anything like last each episode will leave us wanting more and the finale will leave satisfied, but hungry for the next one!!! So watch it all unfold tonight and every Tuesday at 10p on FX!!!

BTWF roles: Al Pacino in Me Natalie
January 7th, 2009 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: 1 ]

Before we all got to know his Scarface and hear him say oooaaa in Scent of a Woman, the only woman he had a Scent for was Patty Duke in his movie debut in 1969’s Me Natalie. The one thing that has remained the same for him in all these 40 years…is that mop of hair on the top of his head. Seriously that thing has always done its own thing!!!

SOW note: As you can tell I am trying to start a new post called Before They Were Famous! I think it is a lot of fun to see celebs before we knew them doing commercials, music videos, TV guest appearances, game show contestants, Soap Operas or bit parts in movies! I am trying my best to find as many of these on my own, but I need your help!!! So if you see them or know of any, can you please E-Mail me at SeriouslyOMGWTF@yahoo.com!!! I hope they are as fun for you as they are for me!!!

13 Fear Is Real spooks The CW tonight!
January 7th, 2009 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Thirteen people compete to “stay alive” as they face their deepest fears in an all-out elimination competition and scare-fest. Pitted against each other in situations straight from the horror movies, the 13 will face shocking surprises, psychological scares and lots of “beware of the dark” moments, all designed by a “mastermind” of terror. In addition to frightening them, he’ll also entice individuals to work in concert with him and against the others, creating a situation in which the 13 will not only look over their shoulders but will also never be certain who is real before them.
Each week, one unlucky victim will be “killed off” via frightening challenges and game-playing until only one person is left to win the grand prize of – fittingly – $66,666.

Those of you who love horror movies (like me) and always wondered what it would be like to live in one of your favorite movies like Cabin Fever, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th or Sleepaway Camp, 13 Fear Is Real is the show for you. 13 twenty-somethings stay in an abandoned house as a distorted voice, like the one in Saw, tells them their fates. Their first challenge has them paired in teams of the twos as one of the team member is tied to a chair and blindfolded, left alone in the woods and wait for their partners to find them…the last team back to the check point faces death. In the most original elimination process each member is buried alive in a wooden coffin and the first one to free themselves gets to continue on for the $666,666 prize while the other one is well….dead.
After watching this show, I would rather watch a horror movie than experience what it is like to be in one, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t love watching these 13 experience a real-life horror movie. So tune in to 13 Fear Is Real tonight and every Wednesday at 8p on The CW to watch as 13 people get the sh!t scared out of them and maybe some of it out of you too!!!
