More proof she is a McPriss
July 10th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

Katharine McPhee might not be the sweet All-American girl we’ve seen on "American Idol." A source tells us that the other contestants, now on a nationwide tour, secretly despise Katharine for her diva-like behavior and the special treatment they feel producers have bestowed on her. She begged off the first three weeks of the tour — supposedly due to bronchitis — and the others are not looking forward to her antics after her return.

I would’ve loved to have seen her face when they showed her how many singles she sold her first week. It will be even more fun when they show her this week’s numbers.

Pirates 3 info?
July 10th, 2006 under Johnny Depp, Kate Bosworth/Orlando Bloom, Pirates of the Caribbean. [ Comments: none ]

Even before Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest set an all-time record for Hollywood’s biggest opening weekend – $132 million in ticket sales in its first three days – the waters were charted for the third and final installment of Disney’s buccaneer trilogy, to be called Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.
Johnny Depp, the star of the film, is so committed to the role, he’s keeping in the gold teeth sported by his character, Captain Jack Sparrow. "Are they gonna stay on?" he said to MTV News. "Only until we’re done filming number three. Then I’ll have to go through the process of yanking them."
As for offering any hints about the twists and turns of the third movie’s plot, the stars have been coy. "I am so not going to say anything!" Keira Knightley told MTV News. "I’d have to kill you if I said anything. It would be very messy." Knightley added, however, "It should be good, though."Not to incur the wrath of Knightly, but actress Naomie Harris, who plays Tia Dalma, a voodoo fortuneteller in Dead Man’s Chest, revealed one clue about her relationship with Depp’s character in the forthcoming installment. "It’s supposed to be that we’re lovers," said Harris. "We talked about it in rehearsals, but Gore (Verbinski, the director) left it up to us, really, to come up with our own stories ourselves."
The third installment, which is scheduled to be released next Memorial Day, will resolve the story line between Orlando Bloom’s character, Will, and his father – as well as offer a cameo role for Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who will play Sparrow’s dad.
In any case, the swashbuckling cast isn’t taking much time to enjoy the enormous success of the second film before starting the final one. "We’re going back soon," Orlando Bloom told MTV. "We’re going back to film three more months." Filming will resume in August, reportedly at Universal City in Hollywood, where an enormous Pirates set awaits to be plundered.

But I doubt 3 will be the final installment after this weekend’s box office.

Suri Cruise’s birth certificate?
July 10th, 2006 under Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes/Suri. [ Comments: none ]

TMZ has obtained a copy of the official birth certificate of the elusive Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The document, filed with the Los Angeles County Register-Recorder/County Clerk, was filed May 8, 2006.  (Click on document to download) There are several interesting items of note:

First, St. John’s Hospital has a policy of filing birth certificates within 10 days of birth.  In this case, Suri was born on April 18 but the certificate was not filed until May 8, 20 days later.  An official from the hospital told TMZ that the delay occurred because they needed a signature from the parents or a representative of the parents certifying birth, and that person did not come in until May 4.  The person who signed is labeled "friend."  The signature is not legible.

Also, the "Attendant or Certifier" who signed the certificate — Anne Heffernan, RNC – was not in the delivery room and did not see the baby.  But a hospital rep tells TMZ that Heffernan is authorized to sign when the doctor is not available.  A hospital rep said "normally the doctor signs" but it isn’t a requirement.

Finally, the hospital rep said that the circumstances that triggered the eventual signing of the birth certificate were that Suri needed a passport and a birth certificate is a prerequisite to obtaining one.

TMZ (Amazing get!)

The other question I have is did Tom legally change his name to Tom Cruise or is it Tom Mapother?

Silent Bob rewards a sober Jay
July 9th, 2006 under Kevin Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Cult movie maker KEVIN SMITH has promised to revisit his JAY AND SILENT BOB franchise if the film’s star, JASON MEWES, stays away from drugs. Mewes, who pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle in 2001, has appeared in many of Smith’s films and the director admits the much-anticipated CLERKS sequel was inspired by his friend’s sobriety. Smith explains, "He was knee-deep in OxyContin and heroin, and I had told him if he ever cleaned up, I would put him in another movie. "When he was six months clean, he asked me if we would be doing another Jay And Silent Bob movie… I told him it was CLERKS II." Smith has now given Mewes another promise – to revisit Jay And Silent Bob if Mewes can stay sober for five years. He adds, "We can JAY AND SILENT BOB GO TO SPACE or some s**t."

I was wondering why Smith filmed a sixth movie after saying the series was over after Jay and Silent Bob Strke Back, now I know. Or do I?

Kate Hudson is everything Hollywood starlets should be!
July 9th, 2006 under Admirable People, Kate Hudson. [ Comments: none ]

KATE HUDSON is preparing a handwritten mantra which she plans to give to all new mums who ask her how she lost all her baby weight. The actress reveals she struggled to lose the weight she gained carrying baby RYDER and suffered bouts of depression as she battled the bulge. Hudson insists that positive thinking was the thing that gave her the edge, and she’s convinced the idea will work for other mums too. She explains, "I think one of the most important things for moms to do, and hopefully I’ll be able to write it down on a piece of paper and give it to all women who ask me this question, is to take the time out of your day to do something for yourself and make yourself feel good. "Part of that is the way your body feels, not necessarily how it looks – especially after you’ve gained 70 pounds. "I was depressed. I was the happiest, jolliest pregnant woman, then I had the baby and then I was just fat… I didn’t lose any weight delivering. "You’re breast feeding and you’re starving and looking at yourself in the mirror going, ‘I don’t feel good about myself.’ That is not a good feeling for any woman. "I went from losing 10 pounds to nothing for weeks and I had to do a movie (SKELETON KEY). I would just sit there crying, but when you finally get there, you feel so good."
