Before Kristin Davis was on Sex and the City, a show where people got their faces rearranged with plastic surgery, she starred in a movie in which she had her face rearranged with a saw by a serial killer in Doom Asylum. The 22-year-old gave a believable performance in that 1988 Horror movie, which is available to stream on Tubi.
Bruce Campbell, star of the Evil Dead franchise, is a convention staple. However, he announced today that he is cancelling all upcoming cons for the foreseeable future.
He wrote on social media, “Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it’s referred to as an ‘opportunity,’ so let’s go with that – I’m having one of those. It’s also called a type of cancer that’s ‘treatable’ not ‘curable.’ I apologize if that’s a shock – it was to me too.
“The good news is, I’m not gonna go into any more detail. I’m posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change – appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment.”
He is taking the summer off in the hope that he will be able to promote his film Ernie & Emma in the fall.
The Burn Notice star said that he came forward so that false information about his health will not get out there. But he is still expecting to have his rumors of health to leak to the press.
Hopefully, his privacy will be respected. It is a shame that celebrities, like James Van Der Beek and Eric Dane, felt they had to come out to the press with their health diagnosis before they were ready, in fear that they were going to be outed. We should learn to respect people’s privacy because they are people first before being a celebrity.
Back to Campbell. Hopefully, he will get his cancer under control and back to doing cons soon for himself and his army of fans.
On Friday, Harry Styles is releasing his fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. That night, he is going to play every song from it to an audience in Manchester.
Can’t make it to the concert, but you want to see it. Netflix got you covered! Starting on Sunday at 8p GMT, they will be streaming his special one-night stand. However, it won’t be as special as having a one-night stand with him. But it will still be a memorable experience to see him perform his newest songs.
And unlike a one-night tryst with him, you can Netflix and Chill with him whenever you want.
Here is news that should not come as a surprise, but Fox picked up the heartwarming Best Medicine for season 2.
“Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart,” said Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television Network. “Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season Two.”
The series is about a big city surgeon working as the only doctor in a small town that is wacky as he is quacky. Well, he is not a quack, but I liked the rhyme.
Anyways, the medical dramedy has found more viewers since its premiere. And if you tune in on Tuesdays at 8p, you will find out why people, like me, are loving it!!!
Last week, Marlon Wayans snuck into a movie theater and recorded himself watching the Scary Movie 6 trailer at the beginning of Scream 7. But it was not available to watch anywhere else but in movie theaters.
However, that changed this morning because Paramount Pictures posted it online. Forget the Monday blues, this trailer will make you feel alive as you watch other people get killed.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs, and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
So don’t cancel the movie when it hits theaters on June 12th.
