BTWF: Will Estes on Highway to Heaven
May 7th, 2025 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Will Estes starred in shows like Blue Bloods, he only appeared on Highway to Heaven for a few seconds. How cute was the 10-year-old in that 1988 episode?

Earlier today, Fox cancelled Rescue: Hi Surf. However, not everyone was getting that dreaded phone call. The network picked up Joel McHale’s Animal Control for a fourth season and Going Dutch with Denis Leary for a second one.

“Animal Control and Going Dutch are proven winners thanks to signature FOX characters brought to life by Joel and Denis — two of the funniest comedic voices on TV today, giving us an ideal foundation for building our new comedy block,” said Michael Thorn, President, FOX Television Network. “With a focus on creating irreverent, fun workplace humor that’s both outrageous and unpredictable, Joel, Denis, their castmates and production teams deliver reliably laugh-out-loud moments week-after-week that will keep fans coming back season-after-season.”

As excited as I am that Animal Control is still in control, I just have one request for the upcoming season! I want more animals!!!

CBS announces their 2025-2026 schedule
May 7th, 2025 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

‘Tis the season to find out what you will be watching in the Fall. CBS got things started off today by announcing their schedule for the 2025-2026 season.

The FBI and NCIS series are switching days. So, FBI and CIA will air on Mondays, while NCIS, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Sydney are moving to Tuesdays. Wednesdays and Thursdays will stay the same. On Fridays, Sheriff Country and Fire Country will lead into Donnie Wahlberg’s Boston Blue.

All I have to say is that there are too many spinoffs! But it works well for them.

Lorraine Bracco reveals how James Galdofini felt about the Sopranos’ ending
May 7th, 2025 under Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

It has been almost 18 years since The Sopranos ended its run on HBO, and we are still talking about the series’ final seconds.

So much so that yesterday, when Lorraine Bracco was on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon had to ask her about it.

She was sitting next to James Galdofini when he found out what the ending was going to be. He stood up, said, “That’s it,” brushed his hair back with his hand, and walked out. And she was like, “Yeah. I guess that’s it!”

She didn’t say whether or not she agreed with the fade-to-black ending. But she did say the show’s creator, David Chase, did something right because we are still talking about it. As much as we hate not knowing the family’s fate, it is one of the most talked-about series finales ever.

Bracco also discussed working with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Basketball Diaries, and she told the NBC late night host that the Oscar winner had a “very cute ass!” I am not sure that is the best thing to say about the actor who is playing your son. But you have to respect her candidness.

I just love the actress. I have adored her ever since I saw her in one of my favorite movies, Sing. Talking about movies. She was there to talk about her film Nonnas. Can you believe this is the first comedy she has done in her career that spans 45 years? Hopefully, there will be more in her future because she is funny.

Just In Time’s Jonathan Groff and Gracie Lawrence turn Seth Meyers on
May 7th, 2025 under Jonathan Groff, Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

Jonathan Groff and Gracie Lawrence were on Late Night yesterday to promote their Tony-nominated musical Just In Time about Bobby Darin and Connie Francis’ love affair, and they turned Seth Meyers on.

How did the actors do that? The two of them sing duets in the show, and their faces get so close to one another that she can feel her co-star’s breath in her mouth.

Also, because the friends are so physically close to each other, they can’t stop laughing. So the NBC late night host wanted them to demonstrate what they were describing. As they were preparing to do it, Meyers admitted he was getting turned on.

Then, they sang Give My Regards to Broadway within spit distance to their faces that you can see why she was able to taste his salt and vinegar chips. When they were done, Groff asked Meyers if he wanted to try it. To which he told the Mad King of Hamilton, “I will say, ‘As turned on as I was before you guys did it, the opposite now.'”

So we are just left to imagine what could have been… And I have not stopped doing that.

Back to the chemistry between the two men, I would so adore it if the Late Night talk show asked Groff to go Day Drinking with Seth! They would have so much fun drinking and singing, it would probably be one of their best ones.

Now, I must talk about Gracie, my niece is obsessed with her band, Lawrence! I didn’t know she is also a Broadway star. So this post is for her! Oh, and she is also a huge fan of Groff and saw him in Merrily We Roll Along!

Maybe since she will not be able to get to New York City again before the show cancels, Late Night can book her and her brother to perform!
