To me, YouTube Premium’s Cobra Kai is the best new show of last year, so I was curious if they would be able to recreate the magic for the second season. Unlike Karate Kid 2, I think they will not only be able to match it but they will even exceed it.
I say that because once I saw that Daniel-sun (Ralph Macchio) is teaching karate classes for free in the trailer, I was like, oh sh!t. I knew that was going to piss off Johnny (Billy Zabka). Which means their rivalry will continue on, 35 years after it began.
If you are not familiar with the YouTube Original series, it is the follow up to Karate Kid, but this time we see things through Johnny Lawrence’s eyes. Now the bad guy is the good one and Daniel LaRusso is the bully. How freaking awesome is that?
If you missed the first season, I highly recommend watching it ASAP, 55 million people can’t be wrong, can we? I would even tell strangers to watch it because that is how much I love it. Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald created a true masterpiece that everyone can enjoy, so go enjoy it.
Before you go watch it for the first time or the 34th, mark down April 24th on your calendars because that is when John Kreese (Martin Kove) comes back to rattle things up at Cobra Kai. The bad a$$ show got even more bad a$$!

I grew up with horror movies since before I started school, so it takes a lot to scare me. But there are a lot of people who are not like me and scream at the littlest jump scares.
Case in point a 7-second ad for The Nun streaming before videos on YouTube was deemed too scary for the site, so they pulled it. They told one of the complainers, “Appreciate you bringing this to our attention! This ad violates our shocking content policy and it’s no longer running as an ad. Sometimes when we are at our lowest, a song can make us feel better. Adam Levine heard their calls and will surprise them with their favorite musician on their big days in YouTube Premiums’ show Sugar that begins streaming two episodes a week starting on August 15th. Yes, the drama is named Sugar after Maroon 5’s song.
You cannot name the show Sugar and not have Maroon 5 be part of it. They will have their own episode as will Blake Shelton, Snoop Dogg, Charlie Puth, Kelly Clarkson, A$AP Ferg, Fifth Harmony and Bad Bunny. During each episode, each one of them will surprise unsuspecting and deserving fans in this 8-part series. Bring the tissues because we will be crying happy tears with them.

Dating is hard enough, imagine starting over at 35 in the world of apps that were not around before. That is what Olivia (Carly Craig) is discovering as her married younger sister and widowed mom force her to get back out there. The three of them are going to find out love is not as easy as used to be, but it still worth doing on YouTube Premium’s Sideswiped that is streaming now.
Olivia spends her 35th birthday at the gynecologist who tells her eggs are getting old. Her baby sister (Chelsea Frei), who has a baby of her own, convinces her to go out. It will be the first time Jayne has gone out since she had her daughter. She is ready to party and Olivia is ready to sleep.
Olivia’s mom (Rosanna Arquette) might be a widow in her 50’s but she is still ready to party. She joins her girls on their night out and now it is time for a fun time. Did I tell you that Mary lives with Olivia and the three of them are really close?
So close, Jayne creates a Tinder profile for her sister and a swipe right gets her date (Thomas Lennon). Oh and her mom has already been using the dating app. Back to the birthday girl, imagine how awkward it is for him to meet the whole family all at once on the first date? And that is not why their date goes really bad. That is something you have to see to believe.
Over the show’s first season, Olivia will go out with a few guys and realize dating is not as easy as it used to be. Even though she is dating guys like Tyler Posey. Her mom is having a little more luck with guys like Christopher McDonald, Robert Pine, Rick Springfield and Peter Gallager.
What Mary realizes is being independent for the first time in her life is better than dating. She is a cool woman for her age, so she lands herself a totally awesome job and friend for life. A friend about the same age as her younger daughter.
Talking about Jayne, she is a wild and carefree girl, but married life is holding her back. She will start living her life through her sister’s. That will not get complicated or will it?
At the end of their dates, they have each other. Sometimes that is better than any man. Or at least the ones they are dating.
Therefore, make a date with this show because it is a quick, enjoyable binge. Cannot watch it today? Then watch it when you’re home without a date. It will make you feel better that you do not have one. We all need a show like that.
On September 25th, Will Smith is going to turn the big 5-0! What is he going to do to make it unforgettable? He is going to bungee jump, out of a helicopter, over the Grand Canyon, live on YouTube. Why? Not because he is crazy, although it sounds like he is, but because he is doing it for charity.
If all goes well, he will have a great story to tell everyone for the rest of his life. If it does not go well, well then he does not have a rest of a life to tell the story. But I am sure everyone is going to make sure it is very safe for him. They don’t want the man in black to become the man is splat.
It is that risk that is going to have us glued to our computer screens to see what happens during Will Smith: The Jump. Will Will Smith live to see 51?
I just hope there is a video before he jumps of Jada Pinkett Smith ripping him a new one for doing this. How hot would that be? I think that would get more views than the jump itself.
