Donald Trump wanted to do what with Kanye West?
July 24th, 2024 under Andy Cohen, Donald Trump, Kanye West, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Alyssa Farah Griffin was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen yesterday. One of the show’s fans wanted to know, “What was the wildest thing that you still cannot believe came across your desk when you were special assistant to Trump in the White House?”

I was kind of afraid of her answer because you never know what lunacy was going on in his head. However, it wasn’t as scary as I thought. What is it? “One day, he wanted to have Kanye West come and do a church service on the White House lawn to unify the country.”

Thankfully, they talked him out of it because that would have brought a whole new level of insanity to the 1600 Penn. And that was tough to do between the years of 2017-2021.

Whoopi Goldberg almost had a different stage name
July 11th, 2024 under Seth Meyers, The View. [ Comments: none ]

We know Whoopi Goldberg as that. However, that was not her original stage name. She originally wanted to go by Whoopi Cushiôn.

Yesterday, she told Seth Meyers on his show, Late Night, how she got the last name Goldberg. When the actress told her mom her stage name, she asked her daughter are you crazy. Then her mom explained to her, “You’re diminishing your abilities. And if you call yourself Whoopi Cushiôn, people are not going to appreciate what you can do.”

With that, Whoopi asked her mom what name she should use. Her mom said that Goldberg is a family name, and she likes it. And the rest is Hollywood history.

How did Whoopi repay her mom? Her mom told her I want three things: an English Beaver Bowler Hat, an Ermine Coat, and a Bugatti. Whoopi got her all of those things, even though her mom couldn’t drive. So, Whoopi told her to learn how to drive.

Whoopi loved her mom so much that her mom’s final resting place is at Disneyland’s It’s a Small Word ride and the flowers. Every time Whoopi went, she would bring a little of her mom’s ashes with her and spread them on the ride. What a great place to have be your final resting place, at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Ryan Reynolds is such a good son!
June 10th, 2024 under Ryan Reynolds, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Ryan Reynolds’ mom is in town to visit her four granddaughters. So, what did Tamara Lee want to do while she was in NYC? She told her son that it would be a dream for her to go to a taping of The View.

Being the good boy that he is, he made a phone call to the daytime talk show, told them he was married to Blake Lively and would he be able to get two tickets in the audience.

What did the show do? They gave him and his mom tickets with the best View of the five hosts.

The seats were so good that Whoopi Goldberg noticed them sitting in the front during Hot Topics, so she made the actor a hot topic.

While talking to him, she asked why he was there. He explained that his mom is a fan. And she told Whoopi that she watches every day. However, she was recording today’s episode because she could not be home to watch it.

By the looks of Mrs. Reynolds’ face, you can tell she loved every minute of today. And she has another to be proud of her son.

And hopefully, the next time he is a guest on the show, he can have his mom sit by his side as they interview him! She will be totally verklempt if they did!

Tamron Hall’s show today was on fire…literally
April 10th, 2024 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

Tamron Hall’s live show was canceled at the last minute today, and the fire department wrote her an excuse note.

Shortly before the audience was supposed to be let into the studio, a grease fire broke out in the set’s kitchen. So everyone, including Hall, her crew, her audience, and the cast and crew from The View, were evacuated while the FDNY extinguished the fire.

Finally, when everything was under control and everyone was deemed OK, Hall’s producers made the decision to have her go live and explain what happened. When she was done, ABC aired a repeat of Monday’s episode.

The Tamron Hall Show was not the only one affected by the fire. The View ladies were preparing what they were going to talk about during Hot Topics when the fire alarms went off.

Thankfully, they were let back in before their show went live. And when it did, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin walked out to Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire, and Whoopi wanted the folks at home to know that they didn’t start the fire.

Sydney Sweeney cast her grandmothers in Immaculate
March 22nd, 2024 under Sydney Sweeney, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Sydney Sweeney has a new movie out today called Immaculate, and there are two very special extras in the film. They are her grandmothers.

The actress told the ladies on The View this week that she flew her grandmothers out to Italy to be in the film as nuns. It was the first time that either one of them had been out of the country.

Sweeney, however, did not tell them that it was a Horror movie, and one of her grandmothers was horrified, but they are still proud of their grandaughter. And you can see that by their faces at the premiere.

No matter what Sweeney does from this day forward, I will always support her because she did this for her grandmothers. Family is so important, and what she did was so sweet and admirable. She is such a good granddaughter!
