Tonight at 9p on Syfy Danny Partridge and Greg Brady, I mean Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams, stop fighting each other long enough to fight the baddest Bigfoot you have ever seen. Bonaduce plays a radio DJ/concert promoter who is planning a huge ’80s rock concert starring Alice Cooper in the woods, so he has been chopping down the trees to make room for it. Williams is his ex-friend and former singer who is trying to stop the concert. A freak snow storm in Seattle will bring Bigfoot out to the show and he is not happy to be woken up from his sleep. So the legendary creature will be going around killing everyone in his path. Will the former-friends, now rivals be able to stop him or will he kill everyone in the small town? You have to tune into this fun campy movie, that was directed by Bruce Davison, to see what happens to believe it. Be prepared to laugh the hardest you have ever laughed since you watched The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family as a kid.
On that I spoke to your elementary school crushes on a conference call earlier this week and here is what they told me. When asked if it was to get the ’70s stars in the movie Barry Williams said it was easy for him to do it as long as Danny Bonaduce was in it. But he did have one clause, “as long as I can beat him up I’ll do the movie.” I will give you a little spoiler, he got what he wanted. Now when it comes to the red head, he heard that he was cast in the movie two years before he really was. That part was never explained, but it definitely makes an interesting story.
So what are the two men doing now and where can you hear and see them today. Danny is a morning DJ in Seattle for KZOK 102.5 and you can listen to him online if you are not in Washington. Barry is in Branson, Mo doing a live show called A Brady Lunch with Greg Brady. He described it as “I have the new Brady Bunch kids with me. So they are all…in costume, original choreography. We’re doing all the music. It’s multimedia. It’s, you know, I’m using support clips and graphics and photos and stories.” So if you are in Branson, it is a must see. When I asked them if there is any chance that they would do a tour together like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany did after Mega Piranha vs Gatoroid, they didn’t count it out they just don’t know what they would do. So if some brilliant promoter could come up with something, they are ready for it and I am ready to see it.
Sherwood Schwartz passed away today at the age of 94 according to The Hollywood Reporter. His name might not sound familiar, but we all grew seeing him name all the time on the TV because he was the creator of both The Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island. A part of childhood died today, but we can keep him alive by continuing to watch his shows (because you know you do) and pass them on them on the next generation. His shows are timeless and bring so much joy to all the children in the world, no matter how old they are!
Florence Henderson has written a memoir and according to Reuters in it she shared a story that none of us really needed to know. Carol Brady, the sweet and innocent mom on The Brady Bunch, details how an one night affair left her scratching.
Henderson, now 77, recounts in her upcoming memoir that she was cheating on her husband during the 1960s, and gave in to her better judgment when her married and unattractive friend put the moves on her over drinks at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
“I was lonely. I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do. So, what did I do? I did it,” she writes in “Life is Not a Stage,” set for publication in September.
Henderson went home later that night, and awoke to a grisly surprise the next day as she saw “little black things” crawling over her bed and body.
An urgent call to a doctor took care of the problem, known medically as pubic lice, and Lindsay sent her flowers and a note of apology.
“Guess I learned the hard way that crabs do not discriminate but cross over all socioeconomic strata,” Henderson writes. “He must have had quite the active life. What a way to put the kibosh on a relationship.”
I have to admit that story got me wanting to read the book until I the article added that only one chapter in the book is dedicated to the show that made her household name. That is all I care about when it comes to her.
BTW her TV daughter Susan Olsen aka Cindy Brady to Twitter to defend her TV mom, she said “SOOO sick of the vapid media. Give them a good book to read and all they get is a case of crabs.”
Adrianne Curry and Christopher Knight met on VH1’s The Surreal Life, fell in love and got my married on VH1’s My Fair Brady and split up on their 5th anniversary. The Brady Bunch middle son and America’s Next Top Model first winner released a joint statement to Hollyscoop announcing their separation.
Actor Christopher Knight and his wife, model and television star Adrianne Curry have announced today on their five-year wedding anniversary that they are separating,†Viardo confirmed to Hollyscoop.
After starting a relationship with what seemed to be irreconcilable differences, the couple has reached a period where those differences are no longer appreciated. The decision was mutually reached after it became clear to both that some perspective was needed in order to assess their unique union. Not unlike all marriages, work must be put in.
Obvious to both Knight and Curry was that their marriage would require more effort then a garden-variety relationship. They are taking time to see if they want to continue to put in that extraordinary effort. The couple has mutually determined that they are at a place where moving forward will require a step back. They still love one another but need some distance to consider their future.
Both Knight and Curry decided to release this joint announcement today in order to preempt any potential rumors and gossip and ask that their fans and the media respect their privacy during this delicate period.â€
I really thought they were going to beat the reality show odds and make it work, but I guess they are joining a lot of the other reality show couples that ended their marriages before them.
Although their split is kind of shocking, it is not a surprise because Adrianne, who has been an open book, had Tweeted several times that marriage is hard work.
Although Adrianne’s last Tweet makes it seem like her marital pause was a sudden thing, “May 29th, 2006 I married Christopher Anton Knight. Enjoy your weekend! I certainly am!!!” Sad, maybe they will get back together.
Better yet, maybe VH1 will give them a show called How I Will Win My Brady Back?

Paul Stanley and Florence Henderson were seen dancing their way down the red carpet at The House Research Institute event and by the way he is dipping her I have to wonder if they have something to tell us? Nothing is going on between two of the attendees at the event, but for a second how much fun was it to imagine that something was happening between The Brady Bunch mom and a member of the Knights in Satan’s Service?
