Before Joan Vassos the Golden Bachelorette, she was an extra in St. Elmo’s Fire. If you blinked, you would’ve missed the 21-year-old in that 1985 movie.

Could Susan Lucci be the next Golden Bachelorette?

The Bachelor franchise is like a Soap Opera so it would make sense the producers would want a Soap star to be their suitor.

Therefore, they reached out to the Soap legend Susan Lucci. While her All My Children character, Erica Kane, was married 11 times, the actress was only married once in real life. That is kind of like the premise of the dating show. There is one person holding the rose, but several people who want it. So in that way, Lucci would be perfect as the lead.

Lucci has been a widow for two years, so ABC wanted to fix her up with a new man on The Golden Bachelorette.

The Emmy winner told People that their people reached out to her people and asked if she wanted to join the show. She told them that it isn’t for her.

While she won’t be going from Soap Queen to  Queen B on The Bachelorette in the Fall, she will be watching. It is a recent guilty pleasure thanks to her assistant.

The Golden Bachelorette is…
May 14th, 2024 under The Bachelor. [ Comments: 1 ]

ABC announced this morning that The Golden Bachelorette will be airing on Wednesdays in the Fall. And then in the afternoon they revealed who will be handing out the roses.

The lucky lady is Joan Vassos, 61, a widowed mother of four children, grandmother of two, and school administrator from Rockland, Maryland.

She competed on The Golden Bachelor but had to leave early to be with her daughter, who just gave birth and did not have a normal delivery. So, ABC is giving her a do-over.

Personally, I wish they had gone with Susan Noles because she is a character. Vassos is safe, and that is what they show likes.

The Golden Bachelor’s marriage ends in divorce
April 12th, 2024 under The Bachelor. [ Comments: none ]

The Golden Bachelor was a massive ratings success, but Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s marriage is a failure.

The estranged couple announced this morning on Good Morning America they are dissolving their marriage after less than 100 days.

“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth. And we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Turner told Juju Chang.

So what went wrong? Nist explained, “We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after homes, but we never got to the point where we made that decision.”

Even though they are getting a divorce, they say they still love each other. It was just that neither one of them wanted to pick up their lives for the other one.

Is anyone surprised that it didn’t work out? I was surprised they actually went through with the wedding. I knew it was never going to last.

I think he likes women he can control. She might give off submissive vibes, but she is from New Jersey, and there is only some much shit she will take. And he, being from mid-America, was not used to someone like that. At least, that is what I am assuming.
