Simon Cowell visited his old friend Kelly Clarkson on her show today, and he brought some new friends with him. The King of Mean was there to promote tonight’s return of America’s Got Talent on NBC with his co-judges Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum and host Terry Crews.
While he was talking to American Idol, Cowell revealed that he thinks that the Modern Family has cursed him and the other judges so that she can do it all by herself. Why does he believe that? It is because since she started on the show two years ago, Klum missed a few shows when she got sick, Cowell broke his back and then his arm, and Mandel passed out one time, all while Vergara has remained healthy.
Therefore, Cowell might be onto something. Something that Vergara denies. So, do you believe that actress is cursed?
Simon Cowell has worked with a lot of judges throughout his career, but who does he say is the best judge he has ever worked with?
Is it Paula Abdul? Britney Spears? Howard Stern? Gabrielle Union? Nope, it is Howie Mandel. Or at least that is what he told Canadians in an ad for Canada’s Got Talent.
Do you think he would lie to Canadians? I mean, Mandel did send Cowell a bike after the King of Mean fell off his e-bike and broke his back. That was a lovely gift. Not.
Simon Cowell is one of the most famous reality show judges in the world. Therefore, it would make sense that people would stop and ask him to judge them doing things.
Yesterday when he was on Late Night, he told Seth Meyers about the strangest request he has ever gotten. The King of Mean said a couple came up to him at a restaurant and offered him $150,000 to judge them having sex. Did he say yes? “Stupidly said no,” then he had a message for the couple, “If you’re watching, I’ll do it.”
I guess he needs the money to pay off his medical bills. He broke his back in 2020 while riding an electric bike. Then earlier this month, he broke his arm doing the same activity. And that is not going to stop him because as soon as he is better, he is going to get back on the bike. Even though, as he admitted he is not very good at it.
What he is good at is finding talent. So much so his son, Eric, 8, is listening to One Direction. And believe it or not, the kid doesn’t even know his dad discovered and signed them.
So which footsteps does Cowell want his son to follow in, his or 1D’s? The proud dad said he is training his son “to be on his side of the desk.” Mostly because he would never want to judge his son and find out Eric isn’t that good.
While Cowell doesn’t want his son to know rejection, Cowell experienced rejection that changed how his life turned out. Back when he was 17, he applied for a job as a runner on The Shining. However, Stanley Kubrick didn’t hire him. Months later, when Cowell’s dad ran into the director, he asked him why. Kubrick said he didn’t know it was his son and offered him the job. However, Cowell got a job in the mail department at EMI. And the rest is history.
Could you imagine if he got the job on The Shining? Then we might not have ever heard of him, and I would be writing about someone else now.
Back in August 2020, Simon Cowell broke his back in several places after he fell off his e-bike. It took him a while, and he fully recovered from his injuries.
Instead of staying off of e-bikes, he got back on them. And on Thursday, he fell off of one again and broke his arm, according to Page Six.
Hopefully, the America’s Got Talent judge learned his lesson, or his talent will be falling off of e-bikes. I mean, they say the third time is the charm, and he doesn’t want to find out what that means.
I had two broken arms from two different rollerskating falls. After the second time, I never got back on skates again. I am not a dummy. Clutz, yes. Dummy, no.
It is a lucky 13 years for Simon Cowell and his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman. That is because he finally proposed to her, and of course, she said yes.
A source told The Sun that he proposed to her on Christmas Eve in front of their son, Eric, 7, and her son, Adam, from her first marriage. “Lauren was absolutely stunned and never in a million years expected Simon to pop the question. She burst into tears – happy tears – and obviously said ‘yes’ straight away,” the source said. “Lauren has been Simon’s rock over these past few years – supporting him when he broke his back, and through thick and thin generally. They make a wonderful couple.”
This is his first marriage and her second. I hope they make it! Because he is so much nicer since they started dating.
