Ayyy, it is mini Happy Days reunion! |
July 1st, 2019 under Marion Ross, Reunions, Scott Baio. [ Comments: none ]

This weekend was The Hollywood Show and several members of the Happy Days cast reunited for the convention. There was Mrs. C, Ralph Malph, Potsie Weber, Chachi Arcola, Jenny Piccalo and Roger Phillips. Or as they go by today, Marion Ross, Donny Most, Anson Williams, Scott Baio, Cathy Silvers and show killer Ted McGinely.
Even though it has been 35 years since Happy Days ended, why can’t we get a revival? You can have it set at the turn of the century. They all look great, so why not! I am sure Henry Winkler would put on the leather jacket again to play The Fonz! I understand that not everyone can be in it, but maybe we can finally find out what happened to Chuck Cunningham.

Boy Meets Baby bump |
May 5th, 2019 under Fred and Ben Savage, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

Over the weekend, the (not so much) kids (anymore) from Boy Meets World got together at the Dallas Fan Expo. However, is it really reunion if Danielle Fishel, Ben Savage, Will Friedel and Rider Storm do not make it Instagram official? The four of them posed for this photo together showing off Topanga’s growing belly. The actress is pregnant with her first child.
Seeing them together like this makes me mad again at Disney Channel for cancelling Girl Meets World after only 3 seasons. It had more life in it.

The Bad News Bears got together to remember Kristoff St. John |

Back in 1979, Kristoff St. John was one of The Bad News Bears on the TV series. Yesterday, his teammates got together to remember their friend that passed away on February 3rd.
Billy Jayne (formerly Jacoby), Corey Feldman and Meeno Peluce all showed up to say goodbye to a lifelong friend along with Jason Lively and Chef Kevin Roberts. Feldman described the moment as, “TOUGH DAY, BUT A BITTERSWEET REUNION: 2 DAY WE BURIED MY DEAR FRIEND @kristoffstjohn IT WAS A MOVING & EMOTIONAL CEREMONY.” Then he added, “R HEARTS STAND UNITED AS 1, IN MEMORY OF A GREAT MAN, & A GR8 FRIEND! HE WILL B GREATLY MISSED! WE LOVE U KRISTOFF!”
While their show lasted only 26 episodes, their friendship lasted for 40 years. Says a lot about the bond between child actors and Little League baseball players.

The cast of Laverne & Shirley reunite to remember Penny Marshall |

Penny Marshall passed away on December 17th. This past Sunday, Cindy Williams, Michael McKean, David Lander and Leslie Easterbrook got together at her late brother Garry’s theater to remember her and watch a Laverne & Shirley marathon on the show’s 43rd anniversary.
As you can tell, in this sweet photo, they did not remember her with her tears. Instead, Shirley, Lenny, Squiggy and Rhonda remembered her with laughter. Just the way she should be honored.
BTW I am so pissed that I did not know about it because I so would have gone. Sclemeel, schlemazel.

A mini-Mary Tyler Moore Show reunion |
January 8th, 2019 under Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1970, a little show called The Mary Tyler Moore Show debuted, and little girls, like me, wanted to go into the news business to be just like Mary Richards. (Which I did)
Even though it has been 48 years since we got to know Ed Asner as Lou Grant and Gavin MacLeod as Murray Slater, the two men are still friends. So much so, they got together and reminisced about the good old days. While they were doing it down on Earth, I am sure Moore and Ted Knight were doing it up in Heaven.
Now let’s talk about the actors; Asner, 89, and MacLeod, 87, look great for their age. That whole cast aged well including Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachman, Georgia Engel and Betty White. Too bad we cannot get just one more reunion with them all.
Back to the ageing so well thing, I think why their Fountain of Youth, is it laughter. Not only is it the best medicine, but also keeps you young at heart. That is why I still watch the show on Sundance and Hulu when I need a smile. Because as theme song asks, “Who can turn the world on with her smile?” This show can!
