P!nk is such an extraordinary woman that she is one of the 10 women who is being featured in Statues for Equality in NYC. Which is a huge honor, until you see it.
Her drummer Mark Schulman shared a photo of it being displayed and it reminds me of when we all saw Lucille Ball’s bronze statue in her hometown. As in it looks nothing like the singer. It looks more like Mayor Pete Buttigieg than the Rock star.

The other 9 women who are being honored by Gillie and Marc are Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman, Jane Goodall, Cate Blanchett, Tererai Trent, Janet Mock, Tracy Dyson, Cheryl Strayed and Gabby Douglas. It will be interesting how they turned out.
P!nk has a new single out today called Walk Me Home. Of course, I had to listen to it. When it got to the chorus, I felt like I heard that tempo recently. Before I got to the end of the song, I was like it reminds me of Ed Sheeran’s Nancy Mulligan.
Granted both songs are paying tribute to traditional Irish music by updating it with a Pop sound. I still find it interesting how much they both resemble each other. Do you hear it too or am I the only one hearing double?
Getting past the similarities, I still love both tunes. Which is making me even more excited for her 8th studio album, Hurts 2B Human, that is coming out in April.
Ellen DeGeneres had some burning questions for P!nk. She started it off by asking who was the singer’s first celebrity crush. Without hesitation, she said, “Brooke Shields.” Then the daytime host eventually agreed with her once she realized that Shields was in Blue Lagoon and not Tatum O’Neal.
Then Ellen got more than she bargained for when she asked, “What is the dumbest way you hurt yourself?” Then she admitted she slit her hand while slashing Carey Hart’s tires on Thanksgiving. Did it hurt? She didn’t feel a thing. Why did she do it? “Holidays are stressful.” No one can argue with that.
Good thing she has stress release with knitting. Who would think she would be a knitter? But she is and she is good at it. I want her to knit me something.
One of the biggest albums from last year was The Greatest Showman. Now, nearly a year later it is being reimagined by some of today’s biggest musical acts like Panic at the Disco, Kesha, Missy Elliott, Kelly Clarkson and Sara Bareilles. The biggest names attached to the album are P!nk, who sings A Million Dreams, and her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, does the reprise of it.
Kevin Weaver, Atlantic Record’s president, west coast, told Variety, that when he saw the album selling 100,000 units a week at the beginning of the year, he knew he had to do something special with it. Then he saw artists like P!nk and Selena Gomez dancing and singing to the songs from it on social media, so he knew what to do. On November 16th, that vision will become a reality with The Greatest Showman – Reimagined.
And I imagine, it is going to be one of the biggest selling albums of the holiday season.

P!nk released the music video for her newest single Beautiful Trauma and it is a beautiful trauma. It is a throwback to the ’50s, an era when women stayed home, cleaned and cooked for their man while he sat there and did nothing. What better man to play her husband than Channing Tatum. Plus, the two of them dance so in sync with each other that it is totally beautiful and anything but a trauma. While we do not see him doing his stripper moves, we do get to see some kinky action going on between them and a third person.
As much as I adore the super swell video, I wish they would have done more dancing. It brought a huge smile to my face when they danced. Didn’t you enjoy watching them?
