Simon Cowell has already made it clear that he has no interest in the American Idol reboot on ABC, but what about Paula Abdul? She told The Insider, “I just think, the judging thing, I feel I’ve hung up my judging skills.”
But how does she feel when it comes to the show returning after only a year off. She said, “My feeling is, is it really too soon to have an outlet and an amazing platform for young hopefuls to become superstars? I don’t think so. I think there is never enough.” I think you can have too many, which is why so many of the talent shows have been cancelled over the last few years.
You have to admit it is pretty interesting that the biggest names from American Idol 1.0 want nothing to do with the ABC show. In fact, not only have 2 of the 3 original judges said no, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have committed to doing The Voice over AI 2.0. That sings volumes, don’t you think?

Tahani Anderson had such a great audition on So You Think You Can Dance that when she was done all three judges had a ticket to the Academy for her. When the 12 year old went to collect the tickets, Nigel Lythgoe hugged her and so did Paula Abdul. Only problem was the Straight Up singer hugged her too tight and Tahani said, “all her happiness came out on her jacket.”
Hopefully Abdul won’t be Cold Hearted and vote against her during the next round which I don’t think she will because she is sweet. Lythgoe I think would.
For years we have wondered if Opposites Attract when it comes to American Idol’s Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, and now she Straight Up answered if she was ever in love with him. The singer shared 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me to Us Weekly and #17 is, “I have never been in love with Simon Cowell.” Which is kind of a disappointment because you know their sex tape would the hottest thing ever. Could you imagine the passion she would have with that Cold Hearted Snake? It would be Crazy Cool.

Paula Abdul was on The Late Late Show yesterday and James Corden asked her to recreate her most famous music video with him. But how can she do Opposites Attract if MC Skat Cat was animated? The CBS late night host put on a cat suit and performed as her singing partner. Then with two steps forward and two steps back, they made it work purrfectly.
