Netflix released the first full trailer for Stranger Things‘ second season and looks even more thrilling than the first one. Why isn’t Simon Le Bon’s birthday tomorrow because I do not want to wait until October 27th for the new season. How like excited are you to see it?
Tony Danza has starred in several television series as a character named Tony like Taxi, Who’s the Boss?, Hudson Street, The Tony Danza Show and will once again be known as such on Netflix’s new series The Good Cop that was announced today. This time the boxer/taxi driver/baseball player/manny/detective/sports writer will be known as Tony Sr.
According to Netflix’s press release, it is about “a disgraced, former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony Jr., an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. This ‘odd couple’ become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly-cautious son blunt, street-wise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.” No word who will be playing his son, but I am rooting for Josh Peck.
The 10 episode police show is created by Andy Breckman, the man who brought us Monk. I have been missing a show as brilliant as Monk and Tony Danza playing a Tony, so I am beyond excited for The Good Cop.
Now can we discuss why Tony Danza has played a Tony, not once, not twice, not thrice, not but five times on television? This is something that keeps me up late at night as I watch my all-time favorite show Taxi for the millionth time. Is it in his contract? Does he only respond to Tony? Does he want a Tony, so he thinks if he is known as Tony he will win one? He just likes his name? What do you think is the reason?
Netflix announced today that it picked up its controversial teenage drama about the people left behind after a suicide, 13 Reasons Why, for a second season. What they didn’t say, is what it will be about.
Stop reading her because my speculation contains spoilers.
Since Hannah’s Baker’s 13 reasons why have already been revealed, I don’t think her story will continue on next season. Unless they continue with the effects of her tapes. Which would make sense because the season 1 finale ended with some conclusions and some questions. Or my theory is, is that Alex, who shot himself in the head and was in critical condition at the hospital, left his own 13 tapes. Which I think would be interesting. Personally, I would love if they were Bryce’s tapes because that a$$hole and rapist totally needs to die. He got away with murder if you think about it. What do you think will happen next season?
A few weeks ago there were reports that Netflix was dumping the 5 Star review system and switching over to a Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down one. Today they made it official and posted this video explainer how it will help you to find more movies that you will want to see on the streaming site.
Granted I think it is pretty self explanatory, but I do love how they say, “It’s kind of like dating apps, actually.” I have to say most of the films I watch on their site remind me of the most the dates I go on from the apps, they both end horribly. But I must be honest, I mostly watch their Horror films and they have the worst of the worst.
What do you think of the new system on Netflix? I am hoping that maybe I can meet up with a guy on a dating app, so I can Netflix & Chill with him and then I can give then both a thumbs up. But then reality will sink in to let me know I will be giving them both a thumbs down.
Last season of Grace and Frankie dealt with Lily Tomlin trying to sell her organic lube for older women. This season the Netflix show is about Jane Fonda and Tomlin trying to find a partner for their vibrators and condoms made for the experienced woman. Therefore, it makes sense that the streaming service would highlight this in their advertising.
There is a Billboard in Hollywood with the two legendary actresses holding vibrators and The Hollywood Reporter says that people are stopping their cars to stare at it. Why, I don’t know. I wouldn’t have known they were holding vibrators if I didn’t binge the whole third season on Sunday. Would you have known? Do you think the ad is that risque?
Now when it comes to Grace and Frankie, if you haven’t seen it, then you need to binge it ASAP! Total fun for people of all ages! And if Netflix reads this, I want samples from this season!!!
