Jaimie Alexander plays Jane Doe on Blindspot, a woman who lost her memory and does not know why her body is covered in tattoos. What we do know about her is that she can really kick a$$ and now we know that stunts are no joke.
Yesterday, when she was a co-host on Today with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush, she listed several of the injuries she suffered since working on the NBC drama.
They are:
Ruptured disc
Herniated disc
Broken nose
Dislocated shoulder
Broken right index finger
Broken left foot
Broken left two toes (three times)
Broke right foot
Broken right two toes
Dislocated jaw
And several others she could not pronounce or reveal.
How does she feel about all of that? She says, “I love it!!!” Not me, I hate to be in pain. She is a masochist and I am a sadist.
Seriously, I have a whole new respect for her. Because I would have quit after the first injury and that would have been a paper cut from reading the script. Yet she keeps going.

When we last off with New Amsterdam, Max (Ryan Eggold) collapsed away from the hospital at a vacation spot. Tonight at 10p (yes NBC is still airing it at 10p), the episode picks up exactly where it left off.
Georgia (Lisa O’Hare) runs towards her husband’s lifeless body and calls Dr. Sharpe (Freema Agyeman) to find out what to do. Sharpe instructs her to cut a hole in her husband’s neck to help him breathe. It works, but Max is still unconscious.
Max is airlifted back to New Amsterdam. As Sharpe awaits his arrival, she tells the other doctors that Max has cancer. It is a shock to all of them and they each deal with it differently. That is with the little time they have to process it because their main goal now is to save Max. Can they put their emotions aside to save the life of the man who has changed all of their lives?
The one life he changed the most was his wife’s. Tonight, you will see how they met and fell in love. It is a sweet story, that shows off Eggold’s flirting skills. Something his face does separately from him. I just love how his facial expressions are its own charming character.
Everything about New Amsterdam is charming. If you are not watching this medical drama, then you are missing out on a truly great show. Instead of scaring us with rare illnesses and diseases, they focus on caring for the patient. It is what makes this show different than the others like it. Different is just what the doctor ordered.

NBC went all Scrooge on Marlon and Midnight, Texas because they cancelled both shows before the holiday break. The latter will continue airing its second season, but will not be back for a third one. Is the news a surprise? Nope because the ratings are scarier than the show.
Marlon, I am kind of surprised about because the summer sitcom did well for that time of year. Hopefully, the network will continue to air comedies during the summer. Maybe they will consider bringing back Trial & Error?

Tonight at 8p, NBC gave us Clockblockers a 2-hour series finale for Timeless. The little show that can, cans one more time. So I say thank you to NBC for giving us this present, and let you know it is the perfect send off for this show. Thank you to the cast and crew for making this goodbye so special.
The episode starts off exactly where it left off with future Lucy (Abigal Spencer) and Wyatt (Matt Lanter) asking their past selves if they want to save Rufus (Malcolm Barrett). There is only one way to revive their dead friend and it will be costly. Very costly. But will it work?
Then after we find out if it did, we have one more time travel to do. This one will be the one where it is out guys vs Rittenhouse and only one side can win. Do we get a happy ending or a sad one? Like I said it is a perfect one.
I am going to miss this show because it actually made history fun. I fell in love with Robert Johnson’s music because of Timeless. I learned about the African American women that helped us get to the moon. That actress Heddy Lamar was the mother of WiFi. And so much more. Besides teaching us stuff we might not have known, they also gave us a drama that was very enjoyable. One we are sad to part with, but at least we got one more spectacular episode.

Ever since I saw New Amsterdam over the summer, I have said this is my favorite new show of the season. Every week, I keep saying that. Tonight at 10p on NBC, it brings a very powerful episode that will stay with you until returns in 2019.
Max has decided to go the way of clinical trials to beat his cancer. While Dr. Sharpe is against it, she will do what her patient and boss wants done. She will reach out the guy running the trial to get Max on them. Will she be successful?
Meanwhile, Max (Ryan Eggold) gets a shock when the woman who received his sister’s heart comes into the hospital. Her heart is failing and we do everything in his power to keep the last part of his sister alive. Will he be able to do the impossible?
Iggy (Tyler Labine) has a transitioning patient come in to get some surgery. The teen wants to get the top done, but the parents are against it because their child is too young. Iggy hears both sides of the argument and sides with the parents. The teenager does something to get back at the doctor and the effect might cost him a lot.
All leading to an ending that will take your breath away. But I have said too much.
One last thing, I just love the way that Eggold can say more with his face than any other actor on television. It is its own character. Plus, it is very easy on the eyes.
