Did NBC tell I Fell Bad they feel bad about not ordering more episodes?
November 8th, 2018 under NBC, Superstore. [ Comments: none ]

The first scripted show to be told they are basically cancelled is I Feel Bad because NBC will not order any additional episodes past the original 13. The show from Amy Poehler had a weak pilot, but actually got stronger with each episode. Therefore, I am sad to see it go.

What replaces it? Let’s just NBC’s Thursdays is getting a big makeover. On January 3rd, The Rock’s The Titan Games gets a 2-hour debut. The following week, it will air at 8p, Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air at 9p and The Good Place (broadcast’s best show) moves to 9:30p for its two final episodes of the season. Then on January 24th, Will & Grace takes over that timeslot. What about Superstore? It will be back in March when The Titan Games ends its run.

Got it? I don’t, but that is what DVRs are for.

Christmas comes early with the Timeless series finale
October 28th, 2018 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

We could be saying bah humbug this holiday season, but we should not be. That is because NBC gave us a 2-hour series finale and we will get to say goodbye to our favorite time travelers on December 20th. Since everyone, who works on Timeless, knows how much we love it; you know they are going to make it very special. Therefore, before we wish could go back in time after spending time with our families on Christmas, we get to see the fearless crew go back in time to save Rufus. As you can see in this really awesome behind-the-scenes photo Goran Visnjic shared from the set.

Manifest delves into the lives of the people who were not on the plane
October 22nd, 2018 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7gTvpij7ng
For the last four episodes of Manifest, the show focused on the backstory of the people who were on flight 828. Tonight at 10p on NBC, we get to see what happened when the flight Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben’s (Josh Dallas) family landed.

Their parents, his wife Grace (Melissa Roxburgh) and Olive (Luna Blaise) go to check the board to see when the other plane is going to land, only to be to told to come to the gate. For the next five years, they waited but life happened in between. You see how Michaela’s boyfriend and her best friend got together and eventually got married. How Grace met her boyfriend. And how Olive handled not being with her twin brother.

Talking about Cal (Jack Messina), we have not seen how being on that doomed flight affected him. Tonight we will. How will his father handle it? Because Ben wants nothing to do with the voices in his head. It is even worse now that he realizes his son can hear them too.

I know I keep saying this, but there is a reason this is the #1 new show of the fall, It is because it keeps getting better with each episode.

Eric McCormack does a spot on Freddie Mercury!
October 19th, 2018 under Eric McCormack, Freddie Mercury, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday on Will & Grace, we got a quick glimpse of Eric McCormack doing a Freddie Mercury impression. After the episode ended, he posted a behind-the-scenes video of him performing Queen’s We Are the Champions for the audience.

Forget Rami Maleck, McCormack should have played the singing legend in Bohemian Rhapsody. I could totally see Mercury’s moves through the actor. Did you see it too?

Several of the Glindas and Elphabas take part in A Very Wicked Halloween
October 18th, 2018 under Kristin Chenoweth, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC announced that they are airing A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway on October 29th with the original Glinda and Elphaba. That means we knew that Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth are going to perform on the magical night.

What we did not know, until after last night’s taping, is that several of the actresses, who have played the role throughout the musical’s run, will also be part of, what I am sure will be, the very Popular broadcast. A notion that I think is a really smart move. One that I will be looking forward to.

Ariana Grande, Pentatonix and Adam Lambert will also be performing songs from the hit musical that has been Defying Gravity for 15 years and counting.
