Wicked was a masterpiece that ended on a cliffhanger. On November 21st, we will see how the story of Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) concludes in Wicked: For Good.
Today, we got a sneak peek of their final songs and how their tale continues with a wedding, a little Wizard of Oz mixed in, and how their friendship changes for good and for bad in the final trailer.
Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).
Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.
As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. She attempts to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts will fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart. The aftershocks will transform Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero forever, and threaten the safety of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives.
As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.
I thought the first movie was an epic, but I was wrong. The sequel looks even bigger. Who knew that was possible? John M. Chu, the visionary behind the musical!
Normally, I don’t want the Halloween season to end, but this year I do because I can’t wait to see a movie that is already a classic for generations to come.
Jonathan Bailey shared a photo of himself biting Scarlett Johansson’s neck, and I wonder if they have something to tell us.
Is Bailey switching teams, and is Johansson leaving her husband, Colin Jost, for him? Nope. They are being shameless to get the word out about his charity, The Shameless Fund, a Foundation he founded to use brand collaborations to raise money to support LGBTQ+ rights and organizations.
Did their shameless actions work to donate to him?
Forget Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson, the real star of Jurassic World Rebirth is Delores the Dinosaur.
Don’t believe me? Even Rupert Friend said he “would not be surprised if she is everyone’s favorite character in the film.” She is mine, and I have not seen the film that comes out on Wednesday.
The puppy-sized dino is an Aquilops, and sadly, she doesn’t exist off of the screen. But I am going to dream she does, and I will want to own one. Thankfully, there are a lot of toys in her image. But they are not the same.
Why can’t someone clone the fossil they found and bring her to life? What else are scientists working on since this administration is making them stop working on vaccines and cures for things like cancer?
Universal Pictures released the first trailer for Wicked For Good, and November 21st (170 days) is too far away from today.
The visuals make it look like it will be another sensational masterpiece like Wicked is. Plus, the story of Elphaba and Glenda’s friendship is going to bring friends together every time they watch the film because we all want that one friend who matters.
Here is the description of Wicked For Good from Universal: Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).

While I wait for the sequel to the prequel of The Wizard of Oz to come out, I will watch Wicked another 100 times.
BTW I think that they should have released this trailer during the Tonys, which is going to be hosted by Erivo.
