When I was growing up we pronounced Gyros as jie-rows, but then as I got older I was told they were pronounced yer-os. And to this day, I still don’t know how to pronounce it.
I am not the only one because yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon and Luke Bryan wrote a country song about it. A song that anyone who loves the lamb meat wrap will love to sing over and over. Especially when they order one.
I don’t know about you, but I am totally craving Gyro!
Even though Jimmy Fallon talks a lot about his family, he rarely shows a picture of 3 girls. The Tonight Show is hiatus this week, so the host took his family skiing in Utah for Spring Break. Which defeats the purpose, but they all look so happy in this photo.
On the photo front, how nice is it to see him with his wife Nancy Juvonen and their two daughters, Winnie Rose, 3, and Frances Cole, 2. Especially since the toddlers are wearing matching ski suits. The NBC host should share photos of them all together more often because they are such a perfectly looking family. Don’t you agree?
Jimmy Fallon challenged Jennifer Lopez to a dance battle on The Tonight Show and she put him through the spin cycle. As in she had to create a dance to that motion. She made hips go round and round so fast that several men suffered whiplash watching her to do it.
Her next dance was the Hot Cowboy and now it looks like we know what she looks like when she is top on bed. Ride ’em cowboy. Ride ’em until you save a horse! I don’t know what that means either.
Elijah Wood was on The Tonight Show last week to talk about his new project, but that is not what Jimmy Fallon wanted to discuss. Somehow the NBC host found out that Frodo is friends with The Bachelor Nick Viall and he had to know if it was true.
Once Wood admitted that it was, that was all Fallon wanted to know about. The actor revealed that Viall is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), as in the twice dumped runner-up is as sincere as he seems. That is not how I see him, but, then again, I am not friends with him.
After the two discussed Nick, they moved on to dishing about the ABC reality show. At that point, they were like two teen girls on the first day of school discussing all the new kids and the changes the rest of the student body went through over the summer with their bodies. Making it the funniest thing you will see about The Bachelor this season because the rest is just sad. Very, very sad.
We know that Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers both tape their NBC late night shows at 30 Rock, but we don’t know how far away they are from each other. Yesterday, the Late Night host was on The Tonight Show and when the 11:35p show ended the two men walked over to the 12:37a one. We got to see how much of a distance it is to go from one place to other. While I don’t know how many feet it is, I was able to tell it takes a minute. Granted, it probably would’ve taken a lot less time if they didn’t stop for food every few yards. I don’t think they walked off all of those calories in that sprint. Do you?
You know, NBC should end The Tonight Show every night, by having Jimmy and Seth walk over to Late Night previewing what is on the later one’s show. It would be great to see them interact more often since they are on the same network and tape in the building one floor apart!
