So my friend and I have a thing about judging how smart we are. Basically, neither one of us is Jeopardy smart. However, she is Celebrity Jeopardy smart, while I am Jeopardy preschool smart.
Therefore, when we heard that Prime Video was giving us Pop Culture Jeopardy, we were like we have this. After watching the first three episodes, I can admit that I don’t. I lost my Pop Culture Crown, and I am not getting back.
Having said that, I will be watching more episodes. I might be stupid, but I like that feeling. Probably because I am comforted by Colin Jost’s hosting style. You can tell he is a natural at this, and he is having so much fun doing it. Well, not all the time. He didn’t like it when he had to read Rap lyrics. I never heard Alex Trebek or Ken Jennings complain like he did during that category. And that is what makes him funny. He also has a great and natural rapport with the contestants.
Thankfully, I am not a contestant because I don’t think anyone could do as bad as I would. But then again, I can bring two smarter friends with me. Because, unlike Jeopardy OG, they play in teams of three. So, there is always someone to have your back, and they can answer the questions I can’t.
On that note, the categories are interesting and creative. It is just the clues that are hard.
The winning team for each episode will be back to compete in the semi-finals early next year.
New episodes of Pop Culture Jeopardy stream on Wednesdays.
You know a movie is going to be huge when Jeopardy gives it its own category before it comes out. Therefore, Wicked is going to be defying gravity in theaters!
That is because Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, John M. Chu, and Jeff Goldblum all asked the contestants five questions witch, I am which, are related to their magical event.
Were the contestants Perfect with their answers, or is Wicked not Popular for that?
Watch and find out.
And for Christmas, Variety reposts that you will be able to watch a sing-along version of the musical in theaters.
By then, you will probably have seen this masterpiece so many times that you will not need the words on the screen to know every word to all of the songs.
Ken Jennings was hosting Jeopardy yesterday and was not expecting what the people behind the scenes were going to do to him.
The board was nearly clear, so Joey decided to try for the $200 clue for the category All A Board. The answer was, “It is the delicious advertising item in use here.” The clue was a picture, and the sandwich board read, “What is a hoe?”
As soon as the host saw what the image said, he told the contestants that it was giving him flashbacks.
Why? Back when Jennings was a contestant, he answered, “The term for a long-handled gardening tool can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker,” with, “What is a hoe?”
I don’t know about you, but that would’ve been my answer too.
It was also that moment that solidified our love for Jennings, which is one reason why the Jeopardy GOAT eventually became the host!
I hope the producers keep making fun of him because it is funny.

One of the cool things about being a celebrity is that one day you can grow up to be a clue on Jeopardy. Jason Kelce finally reached that point in his career.
The clue that Ken Jennings read to the contestants is, “‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ is hosted by this man who’s maybe more famous as a BF than as a 3-time Super Bowl champ.”
So, for Kelce, the cool thing is that Derek knew the answer. However, do you want to be known as just a boyfriend? Even if it is true?
