John Lithgow was a scheduled guest on The Late Late Show yesterday, but James Corden got a surprise when he introduced him on the show. That is because when he called for the actor in his green room, Kevin Bacon opened the door and took the spotlight from him.
But the real spotlight belonged to the man from 3rd Rock from the Sun when he told his former Footloose co-star, “No dancing! How many times do I have to tell you, no more dancing?” The answer is once ever 32 years, that’s how many!
Now when it comes to why Bacon was there, turns out his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, was also a guest on the CBS show. But unlike Lithgow, she put her husband in his place. She is used to Bacon being another part of the pig, you know a ham!
Everyone is doing the Mannequin Challenge and no one is doing it better than The Late Late Show. They took their camera from the green room to backstage to the set for one epic 3 minute video of people standing still.
This challenge might not have a purpose but it is fun to watch!
BTW I hope no one shows this video to Craig Ferguson because I would be pissed if I was him. They completely redid that whole area. When Ferguson was there it looked like a dump and now it looks like all the other Los Angeles late night talk shows sets.

James Corden and Niall Horan took Ginuwine’s song Pony and turned it into an instant Halloween classic on The Late Late Show. They made it turn from One Direction to another and now it is about all the candy we get on October 31st.
The tune is so catchy, I dare you to go Trick or Treating on Monday and not have it stuck in your head. I know it will be in mine.
Not only was Lady Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show yesterday, she also appeared on the CBS late night show. She stole the monologue from James Corden, who was getting ready for the show. After she was done, she spent the rest of the show with the band, performing songs off her new album Joanne and asking guess Matt LeBlanc a question. That very important question was, “Matt, who would you rather Monica or Rachel?” After some hesitation, he gave the perfect response, “I would have me some Phoebe, she is very bendy.” Too bad he wasn’t holding a mic because he would’ve dropped it.
It has been over a half century since I Got You Babe came out and James Corden decided to modernize the song with Cher. Yesterday on The Late Late Show they sang I Got You Bae and I think it can be an instant hit for the Millennials. It is totally in their language.
But how did the huge hit, that we still sing today, come about? Cher told the CBS late night host that Sonny Bono would write music for them to sing all the time. He woke her one night to see how it sounded and she wasn’t impressed. So unimpressed, she went back to sleep when she was done. Thankfully it was still a dream song for Bono and the rest is musical history.
That song wasn’t the only song she was underwhelmed about, she also revealed she didn’t like Turn Back Time when she first heard it. Songwriter Dianne Warren, who wrote it, was willing to pay Cher to sing and that was all the convincing she needed. Imagine if she didn’t, we would have to Turn Back Time to convince her to do it. Otherwise it would be next week on Timeless… Shhhh, I know that is completely opposite of the NBC show, but play along with me. Is that too much to ask for when Quantum Leap was cancelled before its time. We need a new time traveling show where they can change the past and travel back to a time in their own lifetime to make it work.
