Josh Gad knows how to make an entrance on The Late Late Show and yesterday Olaf didn’t disappoint when he was on the CBS talk show. Instead of hiding out in his dressing room like everyone else at the start of the show, he sat with the audience.
Then the actor asked to co-host the show with James Corden and the host rejected his offer. But Gad wouldn’t accepted it, so he broke out into the melody of Beauty and the Beast. You know, the movie, he is currently starring in. He used that film’s music to sing his plea. Was it enough?
After 3 songs, did Gad finally accept Corden’s offer to be his guest? You will just have to watch the highlight of your day to find out.
It has been a long time since James Corden has done a Crosswalk the Musical on The Late Late Show and yesterday he was back working the street with several actors. This time there were a few famous actors with him as he paid tribute to a movie that is based on a Broadway Musical that is based on animated movie. That movie is Beauty and the Beast and the actors are Dan Stevens, Luke Evans and Josh Gad. All three of them recreated their roles from the film that is out tomorrow. While the CBS late night host was the Belle of the ball.
Since they knew the songs, the rehearsal wasn’t long and they were ready to go. In between green lights they sang songs like Be Our Guest, Gaston and Beauty and the Beast. The people in their cars didn’t know what hit them, but they enjoyed the free show. Even more than we did and we loved it!
Back when I lived in Miami, my friends and I would scream out every word from Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby whenever it came on. I thought it was just something that people in the 305 did, but turns out it is not.
Yesterday on The Late Late Show, James Corden asked Dominic Monaghan who his first concert was and he told him it was MC Hammer. Then the Lost star told him that Hammer and Vanilla were his jam back then and to this day Ice Ice Baby is his go to Karaoke song. The CBS late night host asked him if he knew the words and he told them that he does. Then the two Brits belted out the first part of the song in the 323.
Proving that the song is still a Global hit over 25 years after it came out of A1A Beachfront Ave. Seriously, how impressive it is that they knew all the words off the top of their heads like that?
BTW am I the only person wondering why Charlie didn’t sing that song on the Island?
Samuel L Jackson has been in so many movies, even he doesn’t know how many it has been.
Yesterday, on The Late Late Show, James Corden and him acted out a small fraction of them from Pulp Fiction to Soul Men with some huge hits in between like Snakes on a Place, Star Wars: Episode I and II, Shaft and many more in an 11 minute retrospect that will make you stand up and applaud his amazing work through the decades.
There is a reason why he is in so many films because no one takes over a scene like the biggest MoFo in Hollywood, Samuel L Jackson!
The best part of this highlight reel was watching him laugh hysterically when something went wrong because he is always serious in his movie. He needs to do a movie where he really gets to let go and have some fun. Could you imagine Ice Cube and him doing a straight-up comedy? Actually we would be laughing the hardest because both of them would try their hardest not to crack.
James Corden was photographed as the Belle to Josh Gad’s Lumiere and you have to wonder if Beauty and the Beast have something to tell us? It is up to you to figure out which one is which.
Anyways, they do have something tell us. Coming up on soon on The Late Late Show, Crosswalk the Musical: Beauty and the Beast. I can’t wait to be their guest when they take over Beverly Blvd.
