Does this mean Jack Black and Tim Robbins will lead True Detective 3?
October 27th, 2015 under HBO Max, Jack Black. [ Comments: none ]

Even though HBO picked up The Brink for a second season, they announced today that they will not be moving forward with the show because they would not be able to promote it properly.
Which makes me think the two leads, Jack Black and Tim Robbins, would be perfect for True Detective 3. Although, HBO still has not picked up that show for a third season after the disastrous second one.

Jack Black and Boy George sing The Doors’ Hello, I Love You
July 13th, 2015 under Boy George, Conan O'Brien, Frat Pack, Jack Black. [ Comments: none ]

Both Boy George and Jack Black are guests on Conan tonight and the TBS late night host asked the Culture Club singer who some of his musical influences are. George O’Dowd told him they are some of the ’70s biggest bands like The Doors. The Tenacious D rocker agreed and added that Jim Morrison has the best yell in Rock’n’Roll. Conan told them if they like The Doors so much, then why don’t they sing one of their songs. They agreed and Robbie Krieger from the band joined them.
What happens next is so trippy, I feel like I was doing some of the same things Morrison did back in the day.
Even though all of their styles are so different, oddly enough, combined it works.
So as The Doors said, “Hello, I Love You, won’t you tell me your name?” C’mon once Boy George is done touring with his band, he should totally tour with Black and Krieger. What should we call them?

BTWF roles: Jack Black and James Marsden in Touched By an Angel
May 6th, 2015 under Before They Were Famous, Jack Black, James Marsden, Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

Before Jack Black and James Mardsen were riding The D Train together, they were both Touched By an Angel on the same episode. Black, 26, and Mardsen, 22, look the same now as they did in 1985.
Here’s Nacho Libre talking about that episode on yesterday’s Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Eddie Murphy, Reese Witherspon, Jack Black and Ben Stiller are way overpaid!
December 4th, 2012 under Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Jack Black. [ Comments: 1 ]

Forbes has released the 2012’s Most Overpaid Actors and the list includes Oscar winner, Razzie winners and an Oscar and Razzie winner.
Eddie Murphy, who has been in box office dud after box office dud, tops the list by only making $2.30 for every $1 paid. Next up is Katherine Heigl, who hung up TV scrubs to be a RomCom star, makes $3.40 for every $1 paid and looks like she made a mistake leaving Grey’s Anatomy. Next up is the first Oscar winner on the list and kind of a surprise, Reese Witherspoon makes $3.90 for every $1 paid. She is followed by another Oscar winner, Sandra Bullock makes $5 for every $1 paid, and her new movie looks it will get her higher up on the list. Jack Black is $.20 behind her, and the only reason why he isn’t up there with Murphy is his animated movies earn the big bucks. Nicolas Cage might be happy he is on a list even if it is this one. Adam Sandler is next on the list at $6.30 for every $1 paid and I am sure he will be climbing the list next year. Two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington is tied with the man whose movie won every Razzie earlier this year. Ben Stiller does sh!tty movies, but there is still an audience for them. Sarah Jessica Parker closes out the list, who knew she is still making movie.
Where is Will Ferrell because his movies are barely watchable, but like Ben Stiller he some how gets an audience. Other people I am surprised not on the list are Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Will Smith and Tom Cruise. I think in the next few years Brad Pitt, Melissa McCarthy, Steve Carrell, Zach Galifianakis, Russell Brand, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be one of Forbes Most Overpaid Actors.
Who do you think is missing and who will be there in the future.

BTWF roles: Jack Black on The Fall Guy
July 10th, 2012 under Before They Were Famous, Frat Pack, Jack Black. [ Comments: none ]

(starts at :30 in)

Before Jack Black was running from the police in Orange County, he was doing it on The Fall Guy. How cute was the 14 year old in that 1984 episode.
BTW I know it is French, but I thought it was more important to see him than to hear him.
