I don’t know about you, but I do not know anyone who asked for a fifth Indiana Jones movie after Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Even though no one asked for it, Steven Speilberg and Harrison Ford are working on it.
It was supposed to begin filming next spring and be released in 2020, but Variety is reporting that it is being postponed indefinitely. The cause of the delay is they cannot approve the script, thus they are in the process of hiring a new scriptwriter.
I say why even bother? Ford is going to turn 75 next month. Yes, he is still in good shape, but do we want to see a man in his late 70’s still being chased by the rock or being thrown around in fridge after a nuclear bomb goes off? Indy 4 was a really bad movie. Let’s leave the franchise where it was and not destroy it anymore than they already have.
Alden Ehrenreich was doing an interview about Solo: A Star Wars story with Entertainment Tonight and he got a little surprise. Actually, a big one because the original Han Solo walked into the room.
Even though Ehrenreich had met Harrison Ford before, he was still surprised to see the legend. It got even better for young Solo when Ford said he is “spectacular” in the movie. Which is the highest praise he can get. Nothing and no one will be able to top that. When the person whose huge shoes you filled says they are happy with you, does anything else matter? I don’t think so.
Harrison Ford has such a dry sense of humor that you never see him laugh. Well the other day when Ryan Gosling and him were being interviewed about Blade Runner 2049 by ITV’s This Morning’s Alison Hammond, she actually got him to laugh uncontrollably. Some of it was because she has the most infectious laugh, but also because they had no choice but drink some alcohol to get through it.
Seriously, it was nice to see Hans Solo laugh out loud like that. It is so contagious, I am still laughing with them. On that note, Ford needs to do a buddy comedy with Gosling. The two of them play off of each other so well, they need to make a hilarious movie. And they need to give Hammond a part in because even if the scene is not funny, you will still find yourself giggling with her!
The only thing I know about Blade Runner 2049 is that Harrison Ford accidentally punched Ryan Gosling in the face while they were filming a fight scene. That had to be pretty painful. While that was physical pain, I think Gosling had to feel an emotional one when his co-star could not remember his name, more than once, when they both appeared on The Graham Norton Show last week.
Because Ford has such a dry sense of humor, I do not know if he was joking or he was serious. It could honestly go either way. What do you think?
I do not know about you, but the only thing I know about Blade Runner 2049 is that Harrison Ford accidentally punched Ryan Gosling in the face while they were filming the movie. The story has been all over the place and everyone but the puncher has talked about it.
That is until last night when Jimmy Fallon asked him about it on The Tonight Show. Ford explained, “I threw 80 punches, 79 of them missed him. Which is the way you are supposed to do it in a movie. You are not supposed to really hit somebody.”
Then the NBC host wanted to know how you apologize to someone you punched right smack in the face that is worth its weight in gold. If you are Indiana Jones, you bring a bottle of Scotch over to his trailer, pour him a glass and then take the bottle back to your trailer. Basically confirming what Gosling said had happened.
I wonder what would have happened, if it happened the other way around? Could you imagine?
