Fox will replace Paula Abdul’s American Idol’s shoes
August 6th, 2009 under American Idol 9+, Fox, Paula Abdul. [ Comments: none ]

Thirty-six hours ago Paula Abdul Tweeted that she was leaving American Idol and today two Fox Executives (Peter Rice and Kevin Reilly) had to answer what will happen to her slot on the show and what we can expect from the upcoming season on Fox!!! Here is what they said:
Paula's contract was the only whose contract was up.
They offered her a substantial amount and she said no.
Guest Judges at each of the upcoming auditions. Some are confirmed, some more talks. They will have female pop stars and artists
By January they will have a solution. Like who might be her replacement
They are sad to see her go. They say they are excited for the change and look forward to it because it will be a different dynamic
Paula is not coming back. The contract negotiations are done.
They say they will still have 4 Judges. They say it is live TV that lead to the tech issues.
They said that Dollhouse's ratings and Joss creativity is why the show is coming back
Posh Spice and Katy Perry are confirmed as judges for the American Idol auditions
On Ryan's salary, he is not getting $15 million from just Idol. It is from CKS.
They say Joss is having fun now with Dollhouse and they are looking forward to a second season
Kara's contract had an option and that is why the announcement came out this week
There is a negotiated deal with Futurama but they have not committed to air it
It is still fresh with Paula being out. And it wasn't until her manager went to the press that they thought they might lose Paula. None of the filli-ins as of now are not expected to be her replacement. There will be a search for a new Judge and they want someone who has a great chemistry with the old Judges to become the 4th Judge
They say chemistry is more important than someone who is a little controversy. Someone that gets along with the Judges and the contestants. They have 4 months to find what will make the show more fun.
When asked about the departure NBC's Ben Silverman, they thought they were asking if he would Judge on Idol…lol
As of now they don't want rotating Judges come January. They want someone more permanent But still the decision is months away.
They were hoping Paula would come back. They loved her and wanted her back. They need to look at the decision being made is a positive thing. Change is good. The show is about the contestants.
Poss for three Judges, but prob  will still be 4
Unlikely the final King of the Hill eps will air
It will be interesting to see who they will get to replace her for the auditions and then eventually for the show. Who do you think it should be?
BTW I am so looking forward to the upcoming season on Fox! Glee as we have seen is f*cking awesome, Brothers had me peeing in my pants and The Cleveland Show is the perfect spinoff for Family Guy!!! So check them all out when the premiere on Fox this Fall starting with Glee on September 9th, Brothers on September 25th and The Cleveland Show on Septmeber 27th!!!

There is More to Love on Fox tonight!
July 28th, 2009 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Are you going through Bachelorette withdrawal because the show ended yesterday? Don’t worry the creator of that show, Mike Fleiss, is giving you More to Love on Fox tonight at 9p. Luke Conley is looking for love and he is not looking for your average reality show contestant beauty who normally appears on the shows, he wants a woman with some meat on her bones. He will get his chance to chose from 20 women who have a just little bit more to hug!
While I have to admit I have never seen a whole episode of The Bachelor, I can see a lot of that show in this one. So you are getting that feel of man looking for the right one, but the difference is these contestants are the size of the average American and not a size 0. The only problem is because of that the show is all about I am fat and can’t find love. In fact even at the end of the first episode it still says the women’s weight in their chyrons. I get that they are over weight and that is the purpose of the show, but I really hope the show moves past that because it really has the potential to be a sweet dating reality show. Don’t get me wrong there are still those moments with the girl who will be too pushy on the first meeting, another who has to much to drink and one who will jump in to the pool to get his attention. So it is like the other shows, but unlike the others the people on the show are closer to the size of the people watching it as compared to the others!
So tune into Fox tonight and every Tuesday at 9p for a show that will give you More to Love!

Dare the Jonas Brothers to do what you want at Teen Choice 2009
July 14th, 2009 under Disney, Fox, Jonas Brothers. [ Comments: 1 ]

Last month Joe Jonas accepted a dare to perform Beyonce’s Single Ladies in a black leotard and now all of the Jonas Brothers are up to taking your dares at Fox’s Teen Choice 2009 when they host the awards show! That’s right Fox and MySpace have teamed up to let all you 14-19 year olds to upload videos of you daring the JoBros to do whatever you want. So if you are in that age group, go to www.myspace.com/teenchoiceawards and upload your video dare by July 27th. Not only will you get to see the Joe, Nick and Kevin do whatever your heart desires on August 10th on Fox, if you are chosen you will get to see yourself on TV too!!! Way cool!
I think they had to limit the age group because imagine what us people over 19 would ask them to do… So those of you submit make it good, make it real good for us!!!
Just out of curiosity if you could dare them to do whatever you wanted, what would you make them do???

Fox goes Mental tonight
May 26th, 2009 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

MENTAL is a medical mystery drama featuring Dr. Jack Gallagher, a radically unorthodox psychiatrist who becomes Director of Mental Health Services at a Los Angeles hospital where he takes on patients battling unknown, misunderstood and often misdiagnosed psychiatric conditions. Gallagher delves inside their minds to gain a true understanding of who his patients are, allowing him to uncover what might be the key to their long-term recovery.

Tonight on Fox they go where House ended his in a Mental ward. Unlike House, they are not trying to find out what is physically wrong with patient, but what is mentally wrong with them. The first episode deals with a schizophrenic patient and the second one with a woman is 7 months pregnant. but there is no baby inside. The show is different than other medical shows, so check it tonight on Fox at 9p.
