Tonight at 9p, Lucifer grows tired of the human race when someone is killing in his name. What he doesn’t know, is the group that is trying to summon Lucifer (Tom Ellis) are not the people actually doing the murders. The person doing that is someone he knows. Everyone is a suspect including him.
When someone he has had conflict with in the past is murdered, he becomes the main suspect. How will he get out of this?
That all leads up to next week’s suspenseful and surprise-filled season finale. One that begins with a shocking moment and doesn’t stop until the final seconds. That last reveal sets things up for the second season. Why talk about next week now? Because I won’t be able to preview it next week without spoiling any of the episode. It’s one of those episodes that is so devilishly good, you don’t want to miss a single second. But you have to watch tonight’s episode in order to truly love it. You know what, if you’ve missed the season, now is the time to catch up.
Lucifer truly is one of the best new shows of the season. So what are you waiting for?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S17bzz1vbJ8 Crowded is so crowded tonight that NBC gave the sitcom the full 9p hour! That’s right, you get twice as much laughs with the Empty Nesters stuck in a full house with their whole family.
Martina (Carrie Preston) is counseling a mother (Betty White) and daughter (Jane Leeves), who hate each other, and the two women become part of her life. The mother takes care of Martina’s sick husband, Mike (Patrick Warburton) and that makes him miss his mother who walked out on him when he was 7 years old.
Not only does White rub her hands all over Mike, she wants to rub her hands all over his dad (Stacy Keach). She tells him that his wife (Carlease Burke) is not going to Bible Study, but instead she is cheating on him. Is she? Wait until you find out what she is really doing.
White is also offering relationship advice to Mike and Martina’s younger daughter, Shea (Miranda Cosgrove), who a lot of chemistry with her internship partner. Can the microbiologists keep the flame extinguished?
Meanwhile, Leeves is helping Mike and Martina’s oldest daughter, Stella (Mia Serafino), work on her British accent for an audition. In turn, Stella is giving her a much needed makeover so she can start dating again.
Back to Mike, having someone mother over him, makes him want his own mother back. That gets us into the second episode, where the ladies in his life try to find her. When they do, they discover that she is one of those crazy cat ladies who hoards (Carol Kane). How will they make her presentable to reconnect with the son she hasn’t seen in 40 years?
You just have to watch this hour of so many laughs, your stomach will be hurting for 2 hours.
Last week, when we left off on Last Man on Earth, Tandy (Will Forte) had a new look. The left side of his head was completely shaved off because his younger brother, Mike (Jason Sudeikis), played a prank on him. Tonight’s episode on Fox at 9:30p is all about revenge.
Tandy will try to prank his brother, but no matter what he does, Mike seems one step ahead of him. Will Tandy ever get his revenge? Will the last two siblings on Earth make up? You have to tune into this highlarious episode to find out.
If you are like me, then you loved the first season of Sleepy Hollow. You loved the way that Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane played off of each other as she tried to teach him about modern day and he schooled her on the Revolutionary War. Then the second season, the writers added his wife and that took away from the Mills/Crane relationship. You got hopeful that the show would get back to where it started when they killed her off, but then they added Abbie’s sister. She wasn’t the only one they added, they kept adding people and taking away from the original premise of the show. Eventually it became unwatchable, so like so many others I gave up on it.
We weren’t the only ones, Nicole Beharie who played Mills was killed off the show yesterday. Something Variety says she has wanted since before the third season started. Can you blame her?
Anyways after the episode ended, she Tweeted the above message for her fans. I am sure we will see her on TV soon because she is one of the few actresses who can actually play off of her male co-star.
When it comes to Sleepy Hollow, I highly doubt the show will be back for a fourth season. Without the chemistry between those two leads, there is no reason to go on. Can you think of any?
If I were Fox, I would cast Tom Mison on Lucifer as one of his Angelic brothers with a bad steak! How hot would that be?
Fox announced today that Lucifer and Rosewood will join The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, The Last Man on Earth, Family Guy, Gotham, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Scream Queens, Empire and Bones’ final season on their lineup next season. Missing from the list is Sleepy Hollow (most likely will decapitated), Bordertown (probably deported), Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life (not surviving death), Grandfathered (still undecided if it is on the menu), Grinder (the jury is out on this one) and New Girl (that is getting old).
When it comes to today news, I love the devilishly good Lucifer so I can’t wait to see what trouble he gets into next season. Tom Ellis has perfected being so good at being so hellishly bad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrhJ9rnebGI Fox announced today that they picked up The Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine for another season. The 2 sitcoms join Gotham, Scream Queens, Empire, Bones, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy as shows that will be on Fox next season.
While B99 is not a surprise, I am kind of shocked that Last Man will be back. Besides taking a ratings hit, I think the show lost its way this year. It is not as good creatively as it was last year. It is kind of just there as compared to last season when each week they had a moment during each episode that made you go wow and want to tune in the following week to find out what happened. This season that has been a rarity.
What do you think of the renewals?
