Book Club was last year’s sleeper hit and yesterday the film’s stars got together. Does that mean that Candice Bergin, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda and Mary Steenburgen are letting us know that they are working on a sequel? Sadly, nope. It just means that made a friendship that lasted long after they were done filming.
Personally, I think they should do a series based on the movie and each week they take on a new book that changes their lives. Imagine if they took on a murder mystery book where four friends vow to kill one of their lovers, but they don’t know which one actually do the crime. Now they are all suspicious of each other after Andy Garcia is injured by mysterious means. I would watch, wouldn’t you?
Before Diane Keaton was the lead, she was just in the tribe of Hair on Broadway. Even though she was in the background, the 22-year-old stood in that 1968 performance on The Dick Cavett Show.

She told James Corden that that moment at the end when she bit her TV husband’s ear was completely improvised. She learned that improvisation is so much, she kept doing it. She even did it last night on the CBS show when the host asked her to bite his ear and she did.
Diane Keaton was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and she used starring with Andy Garcia in Book Club as a way to kiss the ABC host. She told him how much she liked working with the Godfather actor again and then asked Kimmel if he wanted to see what they did in the film that comes out tomorrow.
Of course, he said yes. The two stood up looked at each other and then she grabbed his face with both hands. As she went in for the kiss, she realized her hat was too big for the moment. That did not stop her because she tilted her head to the side and went right in for a very passionate kiss. So passionate, he was left flustered and I think stiff like she said he was during their lip lock.
What was so cute about this, is that he could not stop looking at her, the same way a boy looks at a girl who just gave him first real kiss. Which is probably why he said to her it was a dream come true! How many other boys his age lusted after when they were teenagers? Now he knows what Andy Garcia and so many other actors have felt when they finally got the chance to smooch her on camera.

Before Diane Keaton did not know anything about being a mom in Baby Boom, she was the perfect mother using Hour After Hour Deodorant. She has not changed at all since she made that commercial back when she was 23 years old in 1969.
