Celebrities are trying to get the word out that we need to stay home during the Coronavirus pandemic and the Full House cast is the latest one to do so.

John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, and creator Jeff Franklin reshot the show’s opening for today’s tough times.

The Tanners want us to “stay safe and stay home” because “unlike Full House, this will all go away.”

Even after a nuclear war, Full house will still be airing in syndication with I Love Lucy, Leave It to Beaver, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie.

Josh Groban singing in the shower
April 8th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Josh Groban. [ Comments: none ]

Josh Groban wants to make things seem a little better in the world today, so he is singing in the shower for us. Yesterday, he debuted his webseries, and he started it off with Judy Garland’s Someone Over the Rainbow.

It was nice an all, but I have one huge problem with it. Why is the Grobs wearing so many clothes?

He says he is up for suggestions for his bi-weekly show, so I am going to ask him to sing a song by Adam Ant and act it out. What song? Strip, of course!

Actually, I would love to hear him sing Tears For Fears’ Mad World. However, with his voice, I think it would make me feel worse about what is going on with the Coronavirus.

Josh Groban’s Shower Songs streams new performances every Tuesday and Friday on YouTube.

The curtain won’t go up on Broadway until June 7th
April 8th, 2020 under Broadway, Coronavirus. [ Comments: none ]

Playbill

Back before we were all on mandatory staycations at home, the lights went out on Broadway. They were supposed to be turned on again on April 13th, but with everything happening in NYC that is not going to happpen.

According to Playbill, the curtain will not go up again until June 7th. That date was supposed to be the night of the Tonys, which is postponed indefinitely due to Coronavirus.

Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin explained why she is extended the date for so long. “Our top priority continues to be the health and well-being of Broadway theatregoers and the thousands of people who work in the theatre industry every day, including actors, musicians, stagehands, ushers, and many other dedicated professionals.”

Several Broadway names like Aaron Tveit, Laura Bell Bundy, David Bryan, Matt Doyle, Etai Benson, Chad Kimball, and Brian Stokes Mitchell have tested positive. Nick Cordero is in the hospital fighting it. Sadly, Terence McNally, Adam Schlesinger, and Mark Blum lost their lives to it. Therefore, the decision makes a lot of sense.

When it comes to which productions will and will not be back, I say let’s wait until it gets closer to the date.

Hopefully, by June 7th, the lights will go on again on the Great White Way.

What happens when you take kittens to an aquarium?
April 8th, 2020 under Animals, Coronavirus. [ Comments: none ]

We all need some joy in our lives right about now. Today, we are getting it from the Atlanta Humane Society, who took some of their kittens to Georgia Aquarium that is closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Did Nemo, Dory, Marlin, Guppy, and Bubbles (yes that is their names) enjoy watching the fishes? Of course, they did. All cats love watching fish! And we loved watching them watching the fishies!

Seriously, didn’t this make you smile? It made me turn my frown upside down. However, my cat didn’t like it because she was jealous. I would buy her fish if I didn’t she would try to eat it.

All Rise films a virtual episode with all the actors quarantined at home
April 6th, 2020 under CBS, Coronavirus. [ Comments: none ]

Almost all of the broadcast shows ended production of their seasons early because of Coronavirus. However, All Rise is going to back to work with a special episode that is relevant to what is going on now.

The May 4th episode will be shot entirely via FaceTime, WebEx, Zoom and other available social media and online technology from the actors’ homes. They will use special effects if need be to make their homes look more appropriate for the show. CBS also says, “In addition, a cinematographer operating solo from a vehicle will capture exterior footage that reflects the desolate environment that currently exists on the streets and in the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. The entire episode will be shot abiding by social distancing rules and technologies taking place in the world as it exists now. Executive producer Michael Robin will direct.”

What is this groundbreaking episode be about? They say, “…after debating the merits of continuing their work during this time, Judge Benner (Marg Helgenberger) authorizes Lola to preside over a virtual trial that involves a dispute between brothers and a stolen car. Emily (Jessica Camacho) represents the defendant, a graffiti artist, and Mark (Wilson Bethel) prosecutes for the D.A.’s office, marking the first time he tries a case in Lola’s “court.” Also, Mark and Quinn (Lindsey Gort) continue to explore their romantic (and sexual) relationship while quarantined in separate homes; Judge Benner oversees court from afar and struggles to learn how to cook; and Sara (Lindsay Mendez) has to balance her day job with a new side hustle as a food delivery driver. Luke (J. Alex Brinson) and Emily’s relationship is taxed by separation, and germaphobe and type-A Sherri (Ruthie Ann Miles) contends with the new world (dis)order.”

I am really curious to see what they do. It is a fast-paced show, so I feel for the poor editor who will have to piece it all together. However, they will do a great job, and the final product will be unbelievable. Something you don’t want to miss. Plus, what else is on?
