Prince Charles has tested positive for COVID-19 again
February 10th, 2022 under British Royals, Coronavirus. [ Comments: 1 ]

Prince Charles was one of the first celebrities in the World to test positive for COVID-19 at the beginning of the pandemic.

Today, Clarence House announced that he tested positive again and is self-isolating. According to Daily Mail’s Rebecca English, aides said that he tested positive after a routine test and “suggested he was experiencing no strong symptoms.”

Both the Prince and his wife take tests before they go on engagements. The Duchess of Cornwall also was tested this morning before her public appearance. ITV’s Chris Ship said she tested negative.

And then there is the Prince’s mom. English says that he met with Queen Elizabeth as last as Tuesday. As of now, she is not displaying any symptoms and will be monitored. Hopefully, he did not pass it on to his 95-year-old mom.

Prince Charles is vaccinated, so hopefully, his symptoms will remain mild.

Elton John’s latest sad song is that he got COVID-19
January 25th, 2022 under Coronavirus, Elton John. [ Comments: none ]

Elton John hasn’t even been back on the road for a week after a nearly two-year hiatus, and he is already postponing some of his upcoming dates.

“Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and
so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas. If you have tickets, you’ll be contacted with the new dates really soon. It’s always a massive disappointment to move shows and I’m so sorry to anyone who’s been inconvenienced by this but I want to keep myself and my team safe,” he wrote. “Fortunately, I’m fully vaccinated and boosted and my symptoms are mild so I’m fully expecting to be able to make the Arkansas shows this week.”

At this point, I think he should just give up on his farewell tour that has been plagued by more than just a plague.

Four years and one day ago, John announced that he was going to do a 3-year, 300+-date final tour. He began hitting that road later that year, and he had no issues until February 2020. That was when he was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. He went back on the road for a month and then came COVID-19. He was able to take a break from the road but suffered a hip injury during the holiday. Therefore, he had to get hip replacement surgery at the end of 2021. Now, he is back at it, and he got the coronavirus. It seems like it is a good time for the 74-year-old to call his live performance days behind him.

Robin Roberts has been missing from Good Morning America this week, and now we know why. The GMA anchor wrote, “Appreciate the concern about my absence this week on @GMA. Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid. Grateful my symptoms have been mild and that I’m doing well. Looking forward to returning as soon as I can.” Hopefully, she will be better soon and back doing her morning job.

She is just the latest news anchor in NY to test positive this year. Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie also battled coronavirus this month.

Jennifer Finnigan tests positive for COVID-19 while on vacation in Mexico
January 14th, 2022 under Coronavirus, Jennifer Finnigan. [ Comments: none ]

Jennifer Finnigan and her husband, Jonathan Silverman, finally got to take a long-needed vacation to Mexico. It started off amazingly, but then it took a turn for the worst.

First, their dear friend Bob Saget passed away suddenly. Then the actress tested posted for COVID-19, while her husband didn’t. To make matters even worse for the couple, their nanny quit unexpectantly, so Silverman had to fly back to LA, leaving his wife all alone in another country while she was sick. And since she is stuck in Mexico, she will have to miss Saget’s funeral.

Here is something positive for the actress; at least it isn’t hurricane season. That and she still looks beautiful with all of this going on.

Hopefully, she will be better soon and reunited with her husband and daughter, Ella Jack.

Richard Burgi fired from Y&R cause he ‘naively and inadvertently violated the show’s Covid policy.’
January 12th, 2022 under Coronavirus, TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

Richard Burgi has been playing Ashland Locke on The Young and the Restless for almost a year, but he was recently fired from the role. The actor took to Instagram to explain why.

Over Christmas break, Burgi tested positive for COVID-19. When he returned, he followed the CDC guidelines and returned to work, with two negative tests, five days after he tested positive. However, the show’s policy says that he needed to wait for ten days. Since the actor didn’t, they decided to let him go and replace him with Robert Newman, according to Soap Opera Digest.

He feels terrible about what he did. Personally, I think they should have suspended him, as compared to firing him because he didn’t know that they were not following the Center for Disease Control’s new guidelines. If anyone is at fault here, it is the CDC.

When it comes to if Burgi has any animosity towards the Soap Opera, he does not. He said,” “It bothers me mightily, but it is what it is. I respect whatever the show’s decision is. They’re doing the best they can, as we all are. I truly wish the gentleman who’s coming in to play Ashland a wonderful time. He’s going to be working with the most incredible actress and a great, great cast. It’s an amazing show, I have nothing but good memories and good wishes for it.”

He is handling the situation with class. I can’t wait to see what he does next because this should not fault him in Hollywood. It was an innocent mistake, and he made sure he was negative before returning to work.
