Fred Savage was on Conan tonight and he admitted that he is a big sweater. Not that he wears an oversized one in the winter, but that he sweats a lot naturally. So much so, that one time when he went to the Emmys people were concerned for his well being. One of those people was Eric Stonestreet and the Modern Family star shared his secret to being cool on the carpet with Kevin Arnold. What is it this very cool secret? He wears a cumberbund of ice packets under his tux. Seeing how bad Savage was doing, Cam was willing to part with one of his ice packs to help out his new grateful friend. And grateful he was when he put it down his pants. Actually, he told the TBS late night host, “I was fantastic. Because I looked great and I felt excited.” And now I need an ice pack!
BTW Conan O’Brien revealed how Savage’s The Grinder co-star Rob Lowe manages to look so young and never ages. That secret is moisturizer and creams. In fact, the actor keeps them in pants to have them readily available.
Basically Lowe’s pants are filled with moisturizers and Savage’s are filled with ice, gives new meaning to what The Grinder is all about.
If you have watched Conan, then you know is AP is a real tight a$$. Yesterday on the TBS late night show, we found out why. Last week, Conan O’Brien started having Jordan Schlansky review products he likes and yesterday he reviewed Preparation H Wipes. He carries this around with him at all times because he never knows when he is going to need them. Garry Shandling suddenly passed away yesterday and the late night television hosts remember him because he changed that format with his fake TV show The Larry Sanders Show. Conan O’Brien has been doing it the longest now and he remembered his friend on his TBS show last night. Instead of doing a monologue, he shared a story about how Shandling was there for him during a time of need. When Conan’s Tonight Show was cancelled, his wife convinced him to go to Hawaii to get away from it all. As soon as they got there, he got a call and it was from Shandling. The comedian told him there was no way to avoid to him and he spent the rest of the trip with his friend forever. It is a beautiful story that tells you more about than man than just his rich television history.
One that influenced Seth Meyers so much, he had to talk about it at the start of Late Night yesterday. The NBC late night show host said that Johnny Carson, David Letterman and Conan O’Brien, made him want to do a late night show, but Larry Sanders made him not want to do one. Of course he was joking, but you can see how influential he was.
